1000-Lb Sisters Star Amy Slaton Marries Brian Lovvorn in Spooky Halloween Wedding

1,000-Lb. Sisters personality Amy Slaton and her partner, Brian Lovvorn, have officially exchanged vows in a Halloween-themed ceremony.

“My wedding is a dream finally manifesting,” Slaton, 38, expressed to People in an interview published on Friday, October 31. “I’m receiving my happily ever after!”

Slaton and Lovvorn formalized their union on Friday at the Talbott Tavern in Bardstown, Kentucky, a location long rumored to be haunted. The venue’s ominous past, however, did not deter the couple, who became engaged late last year at a haunted attraction.

“I thoroughly enjoyed the journey of wedding preparation, particularly the creative aspects and venue scouting, but selecting bridesmaids and groomsmen proved to be a significant challenge,” Slaton shared with the publication about orchestrating her Victorian-themed nuptials. “I instinctively knew that my exceptional friend Ollisha [Davis] would graciously accept the distinguished role of being my maid of honor, even before I extended the heartfelt invitation.”

Slaton looked exquisite in a sleeveless lace bridal gown, adorned with a dark gray tiara that beautifully contrasted her newly dyed red hair. Amy’s sister, Tammy Slaton, was also present for the momentous occasion, dressed entirely in black.

Amy and Lovvorn’s relationship began in 2024 after they first met at a concert held in a local park.

“Getting married means that I am no longer solitary because I have discovered my soulmate, Brian, is my sanctuary,” Amy, who was previously married to Michael Halterman, commented on Friday. “Once you get acquainted with him, you will find him to be the kindest, most compassionate individual you will ever have the pleasure of knowing.”

She continued, “Not only did he capture my heart, but he also endeared himself to my sons, and it’s uncommon for men to accept a single mom with two energetic boys. I cherish how he motivates me to become a better version of myself, how he prioritizes my well-being and that of my boys, selflessly putting our needs before his own.”

Amy and Halterman, 42, were wed from 2019 to 2023, having been introduced during their high school years. The now-separated couple are parents to sons Gage, 4, and Glenn, 3.

Amy’s eerie wedding day to Lovvorn is set to be featured on the upcoming season of 1,000-Lb. Sisters, according to People. (Amy and Tammy, 39, are siblings and costars on the docuseries, chronicling their individual weight loss journeys.)

“Getting married is a vow to dedicate the rest of our days to making each other’s lives as fulfilling as possible, whatever that entails and at any given moment,” Lovvorn told People. “The next chapter involves Amy continuing her art, and hopefully, I can begin covering sports while engaging in some form of writing. This and, of course, raising the boys to the best of our abilities.”

Amy first publicly acknowledged her romance with Lovvorn earlier this year.

“Spring love in the air, Brian Lovvorn,” she posted via Instagram in April. “Thank you @nick.knock.lets.bop for taking the picture bestie!!!”

Months later, the now-newlyweds celebrated their inaugural anniversary.

“Happy 1-year anniversary, baby!!” she wrote on June 29. “One year completed, a lifetime still to come!!”
