2025 A Year of Unforgettable Farewells in Entertainment
The entertainment world bid farewell to several iconic figures throughout 2025.
During the initial six months, we received the somber announcements of the passing of director David Lynch, actress Michelle Trachtenberg, boxing legend George Foreman, acclaimed actor Val Kilmer, and Duck Dynasty personality Phil Robertson.
As the warmer months progressed, we noted the departures of culinary personality Anne Burrell, rock icon Ozzy Osbourne, wrestling legend Hulk Hogan, actor Malcolm-Jamal Warner, and talent manager Brandon Blackstock. September alone marked the passing of esteemed actor Robert Redford.
October saw the departure of renowned primatologist Jane Goodall, actress Diane Keaton, Grammy-winning R&B artist D’Angelo, among others. The subsequent month, Dallas Cowboys defensive end Marshawn Kneeland passed at 24 years old, and Oscar-nominated actress Pauline Collins succumbed to Parkinson's at 85.
November commenced with the passing of actress Sally Kirkland and former ABC News correspondent Jim Avila, followed by the deaths of actor Spencer Lofranco and musician Gary “Mani” Mounfield.
