2025 Bids Farewell to a Constellation of Stars
Throughout 2025, the entertainment world grappled with the profound loss of several iconic figures.
The initial six months of the year brought sorrowful announcements regarding the passing of David Lynch, Michelle Trachtenberg, George Foreman, Val Kilmer, and Duck Dynasty personality Phil Robertson.
During the warmer months, we bid farewell to Anne Burrell, Ozzy Osbourne, Hulk Hogan, Malcolm-Jamal Warner, and Brandon Blackstock. September marked the passing of esteemed actor Robert Redford.
October saw the departure of renowned zoologist Jane Goodall, celebrated actress Diane Keaton, and Grammy recipient R&B artist D’Angelo, among others. The subsequent month, Dallas Cowboys defensive end Marshawn Kneeland succumbed at 24 years old, and Oscar-nominated performer Pauline Collins passed at 85 following her struggle with Parkinson’s disease.
November commenced with the demise of actress Sally Kirkland and former ABC News correspondent Jim Avila, alongside musician Gary “Mani” Mounfield and Prince’s creative partner Jellybean Johnson. Toward the close of November, German actor Udo Kier, musician Jimmy Cliff, and actor Tony Germano also passed on.
