The year 2025 commenced with a notable surge in high-profile separations among public figures.

Approximately two months after initial whispers of marital troubles, Jessica Simpson confirmed that she and Eric Johnson had decided to part ways after a decade of marriage. “Eric and I have been residing separately while navigating a challenging period in our union,” she communicated to Us Weekly in a statement released on January 13. “Our children are our primary concern, and we are prioritizing what is best for them. We are thankful for the outpouring of affection and backing we’ve received, and we request discretion at this time as we work through these family matters.”

The former partners married in 2014 and are parents to Maxwell, Ace, and Birdie. Just two days before their separation became public, Simpson placed her Los Angeles residence back on the market with an asking price of $17.9 million.

Concurrently, reports surfaced on January 8 revealing that Jessica Alba and Cash Warren had separated after 16 years of marriage. Alba was in her ninth month of pregnancy with their eldest daughter, Honor, when they exchanged vows in 2008. They later welcomed a second daughter, Haven, in 2011, and a son, Hayes, in 2017.
