A strong contender for the year's most talked-about wedding is also that of Amazon founder Jeff Bezos and journalist Lauren Sanchez, who solemnized their marriage in Venice, Italy, on June 27.

Concurrently, another memorable matrimonial event this year involved singer and actress Selena Gomez tying the knot with music producer Benny Blanco in September. Additionally, Ted Lasso sensation Brendan Hunt and his long-term partner Shannon Nelson celebrated their marriage in an unexpected September ceremony. In the subsequent month, vocalist Carly Rae Jepsen and music producer Cole Marsden Greif-Neill held their wedding ceremony at the Chelsea Hotel in New York.
