Amanda Bynes Denies Fabricated Accusations of Teen Pregnancy with Dan Schneider
Actress Amanda Bynes refutes the widely circulated allegation that former Nickelodeon producer Dan Schneider impregnated her at the age of 13.
The ex-child sensation, currently 39 years old, informed TMZ in an article released on Friday, November 21, that this speculation is untrue and the popular TikTok clip showing her image was digitally manipulated.
The controversial video, which has since been removed, originated from a fan page dedicated to Bynes and displayed a segment of the All That veteran, accompanied by the on-screen text, “The man I got pregnant with him [sic] at the age of 13! ” visible at the bottom.
Subsequently, the upload transitioned to a segment depicting a youthful Bynes, clad in a bikini, seated in a hot tub alongside Schneider, now 59 and fully dressed; this footage was also featured in the 2024 documentary Quiet On Set: The Dark Side Of Kids TV. This particular scene was part of Bynes’s regular segment, Amanda’s Jacuzzi, from seasons 2 and 3 of The Amanda Show (1999-2002).

Although the video gives the impression that Bynes is making grave accusations against Schneider, she clarified that its creator combined several of her social media clips to fabricate “falsehoods for sensational views.”
She further clarified to TMZ that the initial segment of the video was extracted from a recent Instagram Story she uploaded. (In her original post, she directed the camera towards her boyfriend, but the altered TikTok then shifted to the hot tub scene.)
Us Weekly has contacted Schneider requesting a statement.
During May 2024, Schneider initiated a lawsuit against the creators of Quiet On Set for slander, asserting that the Investigation Discovery documentary series incorrectly depicted him as a child sexual abuser. Schneider, instrumental in producing several of Nickelodeon’s renowned programs such as All That, Drake & Josh, Kenan & Kel, The Amanda Show, Victorious, Zoey 101, and iCarly, was a central figure in the highly publicized documentary as it revealed numerous claims of improper behavior at the television network.
A representative for Schneider issued a press release prior to the debut of Quiet on Set, stating, “Dan showed concern for the young actors on his programs, even when, regrettably, their own relatives occasionally failed to. He comprehended their experiences and served as their strongest advocate. The reality is that numerous children on these productions are placed in the difficult situation of becoming their family's primary financial provider, along with the associated pressures.”
The announcement further elaborated: “Furthermore, consider the challenges of maturing and doing so under public scrutiny while holding a strenuous occupation, all during childhood. This is why numerous tiers of regulations, executives, legal professionals, educators, and guardians are consistently present, on every production set, daily. Nonetheless, it remains a tough environment for a child, and no one understood that more profoundly than Dan.”

Regarding Bynes, she has remained absent from public attention in Hollywood since 2012, following a series of arrests that resulted in her being admitted to a facility under a 5150 psychiatric hold. She departed rehabilitation treatment five months later in December 2013.
Bynes disclosed her battles with substance abuse, depression, and other issues during a November 2018 interview featured in Paper magazine’s lead article.
Concerning her controversial social media remarks throughout the years, the former actress conveyed to the publication: “I feel truly ashamed and mortified by the statements I made. I cannot reverse the past, but if it were possible, I would. And I sincerely apologize to anyone I harmed and anyone I misrepresented, as it genuinely torments me. It leaves me feeling utterly dreadful, nauseous, and sorrowful. All that I dedicated my life to accomplishing, I somewhat jeopardized through Twitter. It is certainly not Twitter’s culpability — it is entirely my own.”
She pursued therapy once more in early 2019 prior to completing her studies at the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising that June. Bynes’ attorney, David Esquibias, subsequently verified to Us in 2020 that the performer was receiving expert assistance for her “persistent mental well-being challenges.”

Bynes offered an update regarding her psychological state through her Instagram Story in March 2024, indicating that despite having contended with depression for the preceding months, she was “feeling significantly improved currently.” In June 2025, she discussed her weight reduction experience with Ozempic.
“Oh, I’m commencing Ozempic. Immensely thrilled. I currently weigh 173 and aspire to reach approximately 130, which would be fantastic for appearing more favorably in paparazzi photographs,” she communicated through her Instagram Story.
