Amy Slaton Celebrates Husband Brian Lovvorn's Birthday with Sweet Tribute

1,000-Lb. Sisters star Amy Slaton is celebrating her husband, Brian Lovvorn, two months after their wedding ceremony.

“Happy birthday Brian Lovvorn!!” Slaton, 38, captioned a video showcasing photos of the couple shared via Instagram on December 26. “You are a shining light in my life and I am eternally grateful for your unwavering support of my aspirations!! And for being a steadfast presence that holds everything together!!”

The TLC personality exchanged vows with Lovvorn on Halloween, at Talbott Tavern in Bardstown, Kentucky — which is rumored to be haunted.

“My wedding is a dream finally realized,” Slaton told People at the time. “I’m achieving my happily ever after!”

Slaton continued, “Tying the knot signifies that I’m no longer experiencing loneliness because I’ve discovered my soulmate, Brian, is my happy place. Once you come to know him, you’ll discover him to be the kindest, most compassionate person you’ll ever have the pleasure of knowing.”

The couple’s wedding featured a Victorian aesthetic, which Slaton said she “deeply cherished the process” of planning.

“But choosing bridesmaids and groomsmen proved to be a significant challenge,” she noted. “I intuitively knew that my extraordinary friend Ollisha [Davis] would graciously accept the esteemed honor of being my maid of honor, even before I extended the heartfelt invitation.”

Slaton met Lovvorn at a concert in a local park in 2024. The reality star confirmed their romantic relationship in April of this year, and the couple’s engagement was shown on 1,000-Lb. Sisters in May.

“Initially, he placed a green apple Ring Pop on my finger while I was asleep, about two weeks into our relationship,” Slaton told People at the time. “I was surprised at first, and I said yes but only if the actual proposal was in a haunted house on Halloween.”

Slaton was previously married to Michael Halterman from 2019 to 2023. The former couple share sons Gage, 4, and Glenn, 3.

“Not only did he win my heart, but he also won over my boys and few men out there will embrace a single mother with two energetic boys,” Slaton told People after their wedding. “I adore how he inspires me to become a better version of myself, how he prioritizes my well-being and that of my boys, selflessly putting our needs before his own.”

Meanwhile, Lovvorn told the outlet that “getting married is a commitment to spend the remainder of our days striving to make each other’s days as positive as they can be, whatever that entails and at any given time. The next chapter involves Amy continuing to pursue her art and hopefully I can begin to cover sports while engaging in some kind of writing. This and, of course, raising the boys the best we can.”

Slaton and Lovvorn have also discussed the possibility of expanding their family, she revealed on 1,000-Lb. Sisters in April.

“He was mentioning me having my tubes reversed,” Slaton told sister Amanda Halterman. “To have another child.”

However, Amanda voiced apprehension about how quickly the relationship was progressing.

“I do worry about Amy,” she explained. “When she begins dating someone, she experiences this warm, comforting feeling and the butterflies, and she’s completely devoted to the point where she’s already discussing getting married.”
