Andy Cohen Embraces "Daddy Era" With New Look and Honest Weight Loss Journey
Andy Cohen consistently embodies his ‘daddy era’ persona — perhaps even more prominently these days.
On Wednesday, October 29, while Cohen was a guest on the “Call Her Daddy” podcast, host Alex Cooper remarked on his extended hairstyle, prompting a discussion about the Watch What Happens Live anchor’s recent physical changes.
“This summer, I also shed some pounds. I believe that a leaner face allows one to wear longer hair more effectively,” the 57-year-old Cohen stated, clarifying that he’s “exploring every option” following his recent wellness pursuit.
“By May, my suits no longer fit. My weight had reached a peak, and I wasn't pleased with my appearance,” he went on to say. “Normally, I possess a strong sense of self-assurance.”

Cohen elaborated that he had been “consuming indiscriminately” prior to embarking on his weight reduction path.
“I have children,” he further mentioned. “My son might say, ‘No thanks to more mac and cheese.’ And my response would be, ‘Alright, I’ll eat it.’ Things like waffles, and ‘let’s all get ice cream and burgers.’ I was like a vacuum cleaner. I was devouring food. It was quite unhealthy. A complete lack of discipline.”
Even at his workplace, he found himself unable to resist snacking.
“Then at Watch What Happens Live, someone would say, ‘Andy, a chocolate chip cookie company sent this enormous package.’ After consuming two tequilas during the broadcast, I’d think, ‘Where is that cookie?’” Cohen recalled. “I was behaving erratically. Absolutely unhinged.”
Cohen not only presents well after his weight reduction, but he also expressed feeling “fantastic” at this stage of his life.
“I have no plans to depart,” Cohen affirmed regarding his ongoing career. Cooper interjected, remarking, “You’ve slimmed down. Your hair is long now. You look attractive. You’re set to remain.”
Later in the broadcast, the Bravo executive also talked about his choice to briefly experiment with a GLP-1 during his wellness regimen.

“Over the summer, I took a microdose of a GLP-1 and disclosed it right away upon my return from the Labor Day holiday,” he stated. “I thought, ‘It would be utterly hypocritical of me not to mention this,’ considering all the inquiries I’ve posed to [Housewives].”
He shared his experience with the medication during a September installment of SiriusXM’s Radio Andy.
“Considering that for two decades I’ve been inquiring about individuals’ physical routines and have been quite open about my own dietary efforts,” he remarked, “I genuinely feel it would be entirely disingenuous not to disclose that I significantly reduced my weight this summer by micro-dosing a GLP-1 throughout the season.”
Cohen divulged that he was “deeply dissatisfied” with his weight then, but his concerns extended beyond mere aesthetics. He also harbored anxieties about “arterial plaque and elevated blood pressure” with advancing age.
“It significantly aided me in managing cravings, which had been a major struggle, and compelled me to be more rigorous with my eating habits and exercise routine,” Cohen concluded. “My current wellness path is quite demanding.”
