Antonia Desplat Reveals Terrifying Home Invasion During Johnny Depp's Directorial Debut
Actress Antonia Desplat faced a frightening incident during the production of Johnny Depp's directorial effort, Modi, Three Days on the Wing of Madness.
The 31-year-old French star experienced a home invasion in Budapest while the film was being made, recounting the event solely to Us Weekly.
“Riccardo [Scamarcio] prepared a meal for everyone at his residence on one occasion. I couldn't, as I had been robbed and therefore needed to relocate my living space,” Desplat disclosed at the Los Angeles debut of Modi on Tuesday, November 4.
Desplat, portraying Beatrice Hastings in Depp's artistic drama, was present during the break-in, but assured Us she suffered no physical injury from the larceny.

“Everyone is fine. I was present. I observed the individual, and he absconded with all my belongings,” Desplat stated, mentioning that officials recovered “a fair amount” of her pilfered items.

“It's alright. It holds no significance. I will continue to work. In fact, I worked on that very day,” Desplat further remarked.
“No harm came to me. I wasn't physically assaulted, I am well,” she recounted to Us. “They simply forced entry into the residence and absconded with all my possessions.”
