ASAP Rocky Gives Back to Harlem Community With Rent Donation Alongside New Album Release
A$AP Rocky is ensuring he gives back before the end of 2025.
To celebrate the arrival of his highly anticipated fourth studio album Don’t Be Dumb, set to release on Friday, January 16, the rapper, 37, has joined forces with Bilt for a unique collaboration.
Us Weekly has confirmed that Bilt will be providing a donation to a Harlem building where Rocky spent his teenage years. The contribution will cover January 2026 rent for all residents in the building, aiming to support the community that helped shape the artist.
“For me, it’s always centered around your community and neighborhood,” Rocky stated. “Harlem molded me into who I am, from uptown to downtown, and that connection to a specific place is essential. When Bilt suggested they would cover rent for everyone in the same building where I was raised, that resonated deeply. That’s not merely a business arrangement; it’s a demonstration of understanding what community truly represents.”
Why ASAP Rocky Will Encourage His Kids to Be ‘Whatever They Are’
According to Rocky, his new vinyl record is “my affectionate tribute to New York, and being able to support the very place that nurtured me while assisting people across the nation with their rent is the kind of partnership that genuinely matters.”
Don’t Be Dumb marks Rocky’s first studio album in nearly eight years. (The Bilt-exclusive, limited edition vinyl, designed by Rocky himself, is available for purchase through the Bilt app and website.)
While specifics about the project remain scarce, the performer previously explained his infrequent release schedule.
“It’s about identifying who achieved the best result,” he previously shared with Perfect Magazine in October. “Everything I create is based on building a lasting legacy. That’s why I’m not quick to simply release music repeatedly. I don’t create to merely maintain relevance or stay in the public eye. I strive to produce natural, creative, and ambitious works that truly fulfill me.”
Since the release of his last album, Testing, Rocky has been raising three children with Rihanna. The couple are parents to RZA, 3, Riot, 2, and Rocki, 3 months.
“Being a father and a partner and a devoted husband within my family is what brings me immense happiness,” he shared with Perfect in a rare interview. “That’s what genuinely motivates me: being able to express myself creatively, being able to be a family man and being able to be an artisan.”
Rihanna, 37, has also praised her partner’s paternal instincts as they attempt to raise their children away from the spotlight.
The “Umbrella” singer revealed to Harper’s Bazaar in February that the “most wonderful thing” about her partner “is witnessing him as a father.”
“I’m a little frustrated because my sons sometimes adore him more than they adore me,” she jokingly told the publication. “And I’m like, ‘Don’t you remember who fed you? Don’t you remember who delivered you?’ And they love him, but when I see it, it’s beautiful.”
ASAP Rocky Says He and Rihanna Do a 'Real Great Job' With ‘Making Children’
Beyond family matters, both Rocky and Rihanna appear to have a busy 2026 ahead.
While Rocky is concentrating on releasing his new music, Rihanna is remaining tight-lipped about her own studio plans. Instead, she’s trying to balance motherhood with her various businesses.
“Every decision I make revolves around [my kids], but everything I do that I love takes away from them,” she explained to Harper’s Bazaar. “So I have a complicated feeling about the things that I love. You almost feel like something is always being sacrificed so you can appear somewhere. And even when you do appear there, it’s not fully present because something else is demanding your attention.”
