Mark captured the hearts of Bachelor Nation viewers when his daughter Kelsey Anderson competed for Joey Graziadei's attention during the 28th season of The Bachelor. Following Kelsey's engagement to Graziadei, Mark embarked on his own reality television journey as a contender on Joan Vassos' inaugural season of The Golden Bachelorette.
Although he didn't discover his soulmate with Vassos — she became engaged to Chock Chapple after eliminating Mark — numerous admirers had hoped Mark would be selected as the subsequent Golden Bachelor. Nevertheless, Mark stirred up considerable excitement among fans when he was observed wearing matching Halloween outfits with Woods in October 2024.

Graziadei officially announced Mark's relationship with Woods on the “Bachelor Happy Hour” podcast episode released on Friday, December 20.
“We will actually be celebrating with Kelsey’s family and Mark’s new significant other too … which will be wonderful,” he stated. “Barbara is fantastic.”
The television personality further mentioned that this wasn't the initial meeting between him, Kelsey, and Woods.“We've had the opportunity to dine with her and her relatives when Mark visited Los Angeles,” he elaborated. “We celebrated Thanksgiving with my family. We're observing Christmas with hers, and we're looking forward to it.”

Kelsey spoke publicly for the first time about her father's romance with Woods, indicating it had been progressing for “around five months.”
