Bachelor Nation's Kaitlyn Bristowe and Shawn Booth's Past Fertility Choices Revealed by Whitney Bischoff
Kaitlyn Bristowe and her former fiancé, Shawn Booth, once relied on fellow Bachelor Nation personality Whitney Bischoff to store their eggs and sperm separately.
“I heard Shawn Booth was discussing how you still possess his cryopreserved sperm,” Bristowe, 40, shared with Bischoff, also 40, on the December 4 Thursday broadcast of Bristowe's “Off the Vine” podcast.
Bischoff, a fertility nurse who now operates her own private clinic, confirmed that Booth, 38, was accurate.
“Well, I don’t personally hold it, but yes, it remains there,” Bischoff clarified. “He has the option to utilize it or to have it disposed of.”

Booth had previously disclosed on his “In the Booth” podcast in 2023 that he had stored a sample of his sperm.
“I went through with it, and the peculiar thing is, I’m currently unaware of its whereabouts,” he stated at the time, without naming Bristowe or Bischoff. “I don’t even recall the facility’s name. I might need to make a few phone calls after this [episode].”
Bischoff also assisted Bristowe with her egg-freezing procedure around the same time.
“You froze my eggs. What did my anatomy look like?” Bristowe inquired on Thursday. “You’ve likely encountered countless vaginas because you’ve harvested so many eggs.”
Bischoff humorously added that Bristowe’s body appeared “impeccable.”
“I couldn’t say,” she joked, admitting she has no recollection of Bristowe’s personal anatomy. “It’s not something I dwell on. It’s simply a part of the profession.”

Bristowe, for her part, mentioned that her friend made the process “enjoyable.”
“I, understandably, had a very different experience since I wasn’t undergoing IVF. I’m not attempting to conceive [and] I’m not facing difficulties,” the “Off the Vine” podcaster explained. “I’m simply thinking ahead, ‘If I wish to become pregnant someday, let’s freeze my eggs.’ You spent about an hour discussing everything with me, and afterward, I felt empowered.”
Bristowe continued, “I was like, ‘I am woman, hear me roar. My body is capable of amazing feats.’ I just feel that because you possessed such extensive knowledge about every detail, you really put people at ease.”
Bristowe met Bischoff during Chris Soules’ season of The Bachelor in 2015. Bristowe was eliminated just after the Fantasy Suites, while Bischoff concluded the show engaged to the 44-year-old farmer. After the show finished, Bischoff returned to her previous nursing career.

“I don’t believe I was suited for the influencer lifestyle,” Bischoff stated on Thursday’s episode. “I was knowledgeable in fertility, I was skilled in women’s health, and it was a field I was passionate about. I felt I would regret it if I didn’t return to it. I genuinely believe I’m glad I did.”
Bischoff and Soules ultimately ended their engagement after six months. She later found love with her husband, Ricky Angel, and they subsequently welcomed two children together.
Regarding Bristowe, she was the next Bachelorette in 2017 and met her eventual fiancé, Booth. Bristowe and Booth dissolved their engagement in 2018, each moving on with new partners. Bristowe was engaged to fellow franchise alum Jason Tartick before their separation in 2023. Booth, meanwhile, welcomed son Locks with his partner, Audrey “Dre” Joseph, that same year.
