Beckham Family Rift Reaches Impasse as Brooklyn and Nicola Shun Reconciliation
The ongoing disagreement within the Beckham family has reached an impasse.
According to an exclusive report from Us Weekly, Brooklyn Beckham and his spouse, Nicola Peltz, are currently uninterested in repairing the fractured relationships with his relatives — for the time being, at least.
The insider reveals, “Brooklyn isn't looking to reconcile right now.” They add, “His primary focus is on enjoying a calm, conflict-free existence with Nicola. The couple has established their own separate life and finds great satisfaction in it. Their preference is for the situation to resolve organically, rather than attempting to force a resolution while tensions remain high.”
The same source corroborates that a “significant division persists within the family,” noting that Brooklyn, aged 26, has “not made up” with his father, David, and mother, Victoria Beckham, nor is he “communicating” with his younger brothers, Romeo, 23, and Cruz, 20.
An In-Depth Examination of the Connection Between Victoria Beckham and Her Daughter-in-Law Nicola
The insider comments, “All of the relationships remain tense.”
Problems between Brooklyn and Peltz, who is 30, and his family initially arose before — and during — their nuptials in 2022. It was noteworthy that the bride opted not to have her renowned fashion designer mother-in-law create her dress, and subsequent reports indicated Peltz departed her wedding reception upset after musical artist Marc Anthony declared Victoria, 51, to be the “most stunning woman present.”
Nonetheless, the most recent discord surfaced in May when Brooklyn and Peltz chose not to attend David’s significant 50th birthday celebration. Sources at that point clarified Brooklyn’s absence by stating he disapproved of Romeo’s girlfriend at the time, Kim Turnbull. Yet, despite the younger couple’s breakup in June, the Beckhams continue to be in disagreement.
The source informs Us that “it has been deeply distressing for Victoria and David to be without all their children during major family publicity events, such as the launch of Victoria’s documentary,” referring to the October 9 premiere of the ex-Spice Girl’s self-titled Netflix show. “This was a monumental occasion for the family, and her wish was for everyone to be united in celebration.”
A Chronicle of Beckham Family Conflicts: Disagreements, Allegations of Infidelity, and Other Incidents
The source reveals that David “shares Victoria’s sentiments,” further stating, “He yearns for the closeness they once shared. For David and Victoria, family has always been paramount, so witnessing this estrangement, particularly during cherished milestone events, has been exceptionally difficult.”
A separate insider places blame on Brooklyn’s siblings, informing Us, “Cruz and Romeo have consistently made veiled attacks on social media, and Brooklyn and Nicola are presently blocked by his brothers, which obstructs any possibility of mending fences.”
Cruz garnered attention in July for sharing enigmatic Instagram Notes concerning “karma” and an unspecified “deceiver.” He additionally penned, “You’re dead to me,” yet he never publicly identified the person he was addressing.
Romeo, on the other hand, was rumored to have ridiculed Peltz by crafting an Instagram remark almost verbatim to one she had published merely two days beforehand.
Noteworthy Family Disagreements
Last month, Brooklyn addressed the family rift — and the public scrutiny surrounding it — for the first time.
While participating in the Ryder Cup Celebrity All-Star Match, he stated to the Daily Mail, “People will perpetually spread negativity.” He continued, “My focus is simply on doing this, enjoying a game of golf with companions. It's truly enjoyable.”
Us Weekly has contacted representatives for David, Victoria, Brooklyn, and Peltz seeking a statement.
