Beckham's Year-End Tribute Notably Omits Son Brooklyn Amid Family Rift
David Beckham offered another year-end tribute to his family following the absence of his son Brooklyn from the athlete’s 2025 end-of-year summary.
“I cherish you all immensely,” the former footballer, 50, wrote via his Instagram Story on Wednesday, December 31, alongside a nostalgic image of him and Brooklyn, 26.
David, who shares sons Brooklyn, Romeo, 23, and Cruz, 20, as well as daughter Harper, 14, with his wife Victoria Beckham, shared individual photos with each of his children. David expressed that he felt “exceptionally fortunate” and “deeply grateful” for his family.
“You represent my everything,” David captioned a throwback picture of Victoria, now 51, nestled with all four of her children on the sofa. “I adore you all. Love, Daddy. Moving on to 2026.”

Just hours before, David posted a recap of his 2025 year, which included several of his most treasured moments with his family.
“I feel incredibly lucky to have experienced the year I did in 2025, filled with moments I will forever hold dear, from my 50th birthday to my knighthood (still hard to believe) and culminating in winning the MLS as an owner,” David wrote via Instagram on Wednesday, sharing a carousel of Instagram images from 2025. “I am so thankful for my wonderful wife, my incredible children, my friends and the team I collaborate with every single day; nothing would have been achievable without all of you.”
David uploaded several photos for the post, many of which featured Victoria, Romeo, Cruz and Harper. David’s selection also included his celebrated friends and additional scenes from his knighthood ceremony with King Charles III. Brooklyn and his wife, Nicola Peltz, were noticeably missing.
“As Sir Alex Ferguson would say, ‘On to the next.’,” David concluded. Thank you for the remarkable memories I will always remember 2025. @victoriabeckham I love you and our children
Brooklyn and Peltz’s exclusion arrives amid reports of a family disagreement. David and Victoria have been distanced from the couple, who married in 2022, throughout the year. The apparent fracture was evident as Brooklyn and Peltz skipped numerous family events this past year, including David’s significant 50th birthday celebration, his investiture ceremony, Victoria’s biographical documentary premiere and the family’s winter holiday festivities.
Amid the speculation, Cruz stated that his older brother had blocked him and their parents on social media.
“My mother and father would never remove themselves from following their son,” Cruz wrote via his Instagram Story earlier this month. “Let’s ensure we have the correct information. They awoke to find they were blocked… and so did I.”
Earlier this year, a source exclusively informed Us Weekly that Brooklyn was not interested in repairing relations with his family.
“Brooklyn has no desire to mend things at this point,” the insider exclusively told Us in October. “He’s truly focused on enjoying a peaceful, drama-free life with Nicola. They have created their own world together and are very content. They prefer to allow things to settle naturally rather than attempting to resolve something that still feels tense.”

The source added that the relationships between Brooklyn and his family “remain strained.”
“David and Victoria have always prioritized family above all else,” the insider shared. “So witnessing that distance, particularly during milestones that are so meaningful to them, has been profoundly difficult.”
David and Victoria have not addressed the rift. Brooklyn, for his part, addressed the rumored dynamic with his family in a September interview with the Daily Mail.
“Everyone is always going to spread false rumors,” Brooklyn told the outlet. “I simply try to do this, play some golf with some friends. It’s quite enjoyable.”
