Beloved YouTuber Adam the Woo Dies, Leaving Behind a Legacy of Adventure
YouTuber Adam the Woo reflected on his hopes for how he would be remembered years before his passing.
“I’m not certain how I’d like to be remembered. I suppose as someone who simply disregarded caution and pursued his own path, living life on his own terms,” he expressed in a 2014 YouTube video shared by Kenny Johnson Documentaries.
More than a decade later, news emerged that the influencer — whose given name was David Adam Williams — was discovered deceased inside his residence in Celebration, Florida. The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office confirmed his death on Monday, December 22, to Us Weekly, detailing that a concerned acquaintance alerted authorities after finding the influencer unresponsive on a bed.
“Deputies initially responded to the address at 12:24 p.m. [on Monday] to conduct a welfare check. The residence was secured, and no contact was established with the adult male residing there,” the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office public information officer told Us.

“This is heartbreaking, and I don’t wish to say anything at this moment. I don’t have the ideal photograph or the perfect words. But given the circulating rumors, I feel compelled to share what I can,” YouTuber Justin “Scarred” Willits wrote on social media on Monday. “The world has lost a remarkable individual, and I have lost a friend closer to me than family.”
He continued, “We’ve lost Adam. I cherished this man with all my heart and I’m unsure what to do or what to say. His family has been notified and has quietly confirmed the news online. Please keep his parents, Jim and June, and his sister, Faith, in your thoughts.”
Willits stated that Adam the Woo had “many cherished friends” and “knew that he was deeply cared for.”
“Adam and I often discussed this day. I wish the world could have known the kind and generous spirit behind the screen, the laughter and the tears ‘behind the scenes.’ He was a wonderful person, a true friend to me whenever I needed him, and I genuinely don’t know how to navigate life without him,” he wrote.
He continued, “And it’s not just me. I’ve spent the entire day on the phone with countless people who were close to Adam, who he loved and who loved him. He impacted so many lives, and he was preparing for another year of adventures, and I’m certain he would have touched even more. And I’m telling you, from a firsthand perspective; he was the best. One of a kind. Irreplaceable.”

In the meantime; send your prayers to his family.”
He concluded, “I love you Adam. I’m devastated and lost — but you have done so much for me that I can never repay. I will never forget you; you’ve fulfilled your purpose, and returned home to Schleep Well. I will see you again my friend. .”
