Blake Shelton Dismisses Separation Rumors, Claims Online Reports Are "Not True"

Blake Shelton Dismisses Separation Rumors, Claims Online Reports Are

Blake Shelton is dismissing rumors that he and his wife, Gwen Stefani, are considering a separation.

“I’ve begun to notice these stories appearing about, ‘Blake and Gwen, they’re ending their relationship,” the musician, 49, playfully remarked while cohosting the Country Countdown USA radio program on Saturday, January 10, adding that he’s learned to “not trust anything anymore that I read online.”

“[I saw it stated] ‘They’re no longer spending time together, they’re going through a divorce.’ And then, a week later, a photograph surfaces of us leaving a supermarket,” he continued. “‘Oh, they’re back together again!’”

Shelton elaborated, “And another week passes and we’re not spotted at the supermarket … ‘They’re divorcing.’”

Inside Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton's Marriage: 'Happier Than Ever'

Shelton confessed that even he can be fooled occasionally due to the sheer amount of inaccurate information circulating on social media.

“I see images of Gwen and I online that I genuinely think, ‘That looks very authentic.’ But I know I don’t even own that shirt or, ‘Whose vehicle is that?’” he joked.

Shelton and Stefani, 56, exchanged vows in July 2021. The country artist was previously married to Kaynette Gern from 2003 to 2006 and then to Miranda Lambert from 2011 to 2015, while Stefani was with ex-husband Gavin Rossdale from 2002 to 2016. (Stefani and Rossdale share three sons: Kingston, 19, Zuma, 17, and Apollo, 11.)

Us Weekly exclusively reported in December 2025 that Shelton and Stefani are “as connected as ever” in both their family values and their shared beliefs.

“[Their bond is] built on the things that are important to them both. They are deeply devoted to each other,” a source told Us. “From the start of their relationship, they navigated the challenge of their careers taking them in different directions and needing to spend time apart. But it’s a part of their lifestyle now. They manage to make it function.”

The insider explained that while Shelton and Stefani have become accustomed to traveling separately for work, they maintain a strong “central location” in the CMA Award winner’s home state of Oklahoma.

“They dedicate a significant amount of time in California and then Las Vegas [too],” a source noted. “Traveling back and forth is simply part of the job at this point, and they’ve both been quite accustomed to it for many years.”

They added, “When either of them is headlining in Vegas, the other is present. They both work extensively, but even if they arrive for a single day to spend time together, that’s what they do.”

Us reported that “quality time together, and with their children” continues to be a “priority” for both Stefani and Shelton despite their demanding schedules.

Gwen Stefani Reflects on 'Difficult' End of Marriage From Gavin Rossdale

“Blake will be performing some shows in Vegas in the new year and Gwen will be with him, and then when she does her residency in the spring he will do the same,” the insider confirmed.

Shelton will be launching his eight-show “Blake Shelton: Live in Las Vegas” concert residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace on January 15, whereas Stefani reunites with her band No Doubt for their “Live at Sphere” shows in May and June.
