Glanville clarified to Us at that juncture, “He focuses on extremely challenging conditions where individuals struggle to obtain a diagnosis.” The initial phase of her therapy was slated to involve “intravenous antibiotics and antifungal drugs” administered via a PICC line inserted into Glanville’s arm. (According to the Mayo Clinic, a PICC line, or peripherally inserted central catheter, refers to “a slender, elongated tube inserted into a vein in the arm” which is then “advanced into the larger veins closer to the heart.”)
Glanville further confessed that maintaining a positive outlook has been difficult while she grappled to receive answers and locate suitable treatment for her enigmatic ailment.

She added, “Dr. Michael Scoma indicated he couldn't confirm the presence of a parasite since he didn't treat me initially. However, if one existed, it would be gone by now. Much of this deep tissue infection — comprising staph and other concurrent issues — simulates a parasite. It produces this liquid that migrates across your face as it disseminates.”
While the infection originated on her face, Glanville also disclosed that it had subsequently spread to her shoulder, collarbone, neck, and left arm. She remarked, “For two years, I was repeatedly assured that nothing was genuinely wrong with me.”
Glanville initially observed the potential parasite following her return from a January 2023 excursion to Morocco. She informed Us, “It has certainly subsided since I received treatment for the parasite, but I now have a skin infection remaining,” further mentioning that “liquid” frequently seeped from her ear and her face appeared “quite hollowed.”
Scoma further conveyed to Us that he has devised a rigorous regimen for Glanville to adhere to.
Scoma stated, “Currently, our priority is addressing Brandi’s persistent infection and its subsequent complications.” He continued, “Once the infection is entirely managed and her condition stabilizes, we can assess further actions to aid her recuperation.”
He also mentioned that the expectation was to observe “significant improvement in the coming weeks” provided Glanville strictly adhered to the “treatment guidelines.”
