Brandon Buckingham's GoFundMe Nears $300k Amidst Severe Health Crisis
LATEST UPDATE 11/24/2025 at 4:26 p.m. — A fundraising campaign on GoFundMe, initiated by internet personality Brandon Buckingham to aid his recuperation from significant health complications, has accumulated close to $300,000.
The 30-year-old Buckingham launched the online appeal on Saturday, November 22, following his disclosure that he had been hospitalized with organ failure just one day prior.
“Hello everyone, I am Brandon Buckingham. It is truly difficult for me to share this, but I must, given that I support my wonderful stay-at-home wife and our 11-month-old child,” he detailed in the campaign’s description. “Four days ago, I awoke completely disoriented, unable to hear, with painfully swollen feet. I was immediately taken to urgent care and subsequently transferred to the ICU. I was experiencing extreme confusion and disorientation.”
Buckingham further explained, “My initial diagnosis included acute systolic heart failure, along with kidney and liver failure. These conditions were triggered by pneumonia and the resulting sepsis, or potentially tuberculosis. The positive update is that tuberculosis has now been ruled out. However, my heart continues to fail, and my lungs, liver, and kidneys remain in critical condition.”

The online personality indicated that he faces an “extensive period of recuperation” and could be confined to bed for “between two and four months.”
“I will require assistance with expenses such as my mortgage, utility bills, necessities for our baby, and the more than $100,000 in medical debt I’ve accumulated throughout this ordeal. Furthermore, I will probably need to take heart medication for the remainder of my life,” he stated.
“I have never sought financial aid previously, but my heart function is currently only at 15-20 percent. Therefore, if anyone is willing to help, please consider contributing to my GoFundMe to enable me to support my family until I can resume working. This will also help alleviate the medical debts exceeding $100,000 that I’ve incurred. If direct donations are not possible, please consider showing your support by viewing my existing videos, as I will be unable to produce new content for some time,” Buckingham finished. “I am grateful for all your affection and well wishes; this has been the most frightening period of my existence, and your collective support has been invaluable.”
The crowdfunding initiative initially aimed for $75,000. As of this report’s publication, it has surpassed $282,000, contributed by over 7,000 individuals.
The initial news report is detailed further below:
Online content creator Brandon Buckingham shared the distressing news that he has been admitted to intensive care.
“My heart, lungs, liver, and kidneys are all failing while I’m in the ICU,” the 30-year-old Buckingham posted on X on Friday, November 21. “The prognosis is not favorable, my friends. I send my love to you all.”
Admirers and acquaintances flooded the comments with messages of prayer and encouragement.
“This isn’t how your story ends. Continue to fight; we are all sending prayers,” one commenter stated, with another individual adding, “You’ve overcome far more challenging circumstances than an ICU. Remain resilient.”
“Your time has not come; our thoughts and prayers are with you,” a third supporter remarked.
This latest disclosure followed by two days an earlier statement from the social media figure, mentioning that “medical professionals suspect [he is suffering from] tuberculosis, septic pneumonia, and/or liver failure.”
“Please keep me in your prayers,” Buckingham further requested.
Approximately a week before his most recent message, Buckingham seemed to be recovering. On November 10, he posted a picture of himself in a hospital bed on X, stating, “My gratitude goes out to everyone who has been praying for me. I truly value it. I have been discharged from the hospital for now, and my condition appears to have stabilized. With divine will, I hope to begin improving within a few weeks.”
The precise cause or onset of Buckingham’s health crisis remains unknown. Nevertheless, the content producer — renowned for his documentary and street interview videos, boasting 1.21 million YouTube subscribers — disclosed that he was also contending with mental health issues in late September.
“I haven’t been feeling well for some time. I’m aware I haven’t responded to messages or calls recently … I know many have been concerned about me … I apologize for causing worry, as that was not my intent,” he posted on Instagram. “I am grappling with my mental well-being. This morning, I received news of my grandmother’s passing. It feels as though more loved ones await me in the afterlife than remain here. I believe God has a purpose for me that I cannot yet comprehend. I love you, Grandma; please greet Kyle for me. I wish I could join you in death.”
Buckingham was met with a flood of supportive messages in the comments.
“Brother, we need you! You are truly one of the best people I know; don’t let negative thoughts overcome you. I am here for whatever you need,” one individual commented.

Notable figures like rapper Machine Gun Kelly and fellow YouTuber Tommy G have made guest appearances on his channel.
