Eddie disclosed on CBS Mornings in 2024 that the filming of his daughter and son-in-law’s sequences in Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F occurred during a particularly significant period for their family.

“[Bria and Xavier] had only recently celebrated their wedding a few weeks prior,” Eddie informed host Gayle King. “She is the one who places me under arrest in a scene, and he is the one who electrocutes me!”

Eddie recalled Xavier’s hesitation to comply with director Mark Molloy’s directives when asked to be “more forceful” with his actual father-in-law.
