Brianna Chickenfry Reflects on a Difficult 2025 and Looks Ahead to Self-Prioritization

Brianna “Chickenfry” LaPaglia is reflecting on the highs and lows of 2025 with complete honesty.

“It’s our final recap of 2025. Also, all of my recaps were brought to you by High Noon. Thank goodness because they helped me get through the most difficult year of my life,” LaPaglia, 26, shared via TikTok on Tuesday, December 30. “I say that casually, but I also mean it sincerely. I believe many people can agree that 2025 – regardless of how it appeared from the outside – was a challenging time for mental health for everyone.”

Over the last 12 months, the Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test participant said she discovered some “truly significant things” that ultimately “transformed my life.”

“I experienced betrayal from some of the people closest to me, and it’s incredibly upsetting. Anyone who has gone through that understands how deeply upsetting it is,” she explained without naming names. “When certain events occur, it feels like we require resolution or that we are entitled to it, and resolution is a word I’m increasingly disliking. We feel the need for an apology, we feel the need for an explanation, we feel the need for a reason.”

According to LaPaglia, those individuals who acted poorly or who may be flawed people likely won’t offer an apology.

If they do, “It won’t be a solution. It won’t create change. It won’t heal anything, yet we desire it so much. Once I realized this, I understood that I was in control of everything.”

LaPaglia — who revealed her PCOS diagnosis and also announced the end of her “BFFs” podcast in November — suggested that 2026 should be the year to “prioritize yourself.”

“If you don’t have a positive relationship with yourself, every other aspect of your life will suffer,” she said. “Being self-focused is actually the least selfish thing you can do because it will improve every other part of your life.”

LaPaglia’s TikTok appeared just one day before news emerged that her former partner Zach Bryan married Samantha Leonard.

While the country musician may have found love in 2025, LaPaglia chose to concentrate on her single status.

“I realized this year that I used romantic relationships in previous years to fill a void within myself,” she said. “So what did I do this year? I didn’t even consider having a relationship.”

Instead, she challenged herself on season 4 of Special Forces, continued her “PlanBri Uncut” podcast and attempted to find the positive whenever life took an unexpected turn.

“Unfortunately, the past few years have made me a pessimist. I think the world is negative and people are unkind, but I do recognize you have the option to be positive and you have the option to be a force for good in the world,” she said. “Once you begin actually living by that, everything aligns.”

LaPaglia added, “In 2026, I want you to choose yourself. … I promise you, wonderful things will come your way.”
