October 2012 saw Spears draw a parallel between her sartorial choices and those of her friend Kim, who famously began her career assisting Hilton after the hotel scion engaged her as a wardrobe aide.
“I prefer my jeans and my sweats. Deep down, I'm truly a tomboy,” the pop sensation disclosed to Elle Magazine back then. “Therefore, it’s quite challenging for me to emulate Kim Kardashian’s style.”

She went on: “I faced weekly public humiliation through cover stories that amplified my insecurities to such an extent that I was unable to leave my home for several months thereafter. It truly devastated me,” and she ultimately asserted, “One never truly comprehends what another person is enduring privately, and I’ve discovered through my own trials that it is always preferable to act with compassion.”
