Brittany Cartwright Embraces Single Life and Hints at Future Romance Post-Divorce
Brittany Cartwright has confirmed her single status and is openly embracing new romantic possibilities.
"I am absolutely single," the 36-year-old Brittany revealed solely to Us Weekly during her red carpet appearance at BravoCon 2025 in Las Vegas on Friday, November 14.
In response to inquiries about eligible reality TV personalities at BravoCon for a potential romantic encounter, the star of The Valley offered a few suggestions.
"Everyone keeps mentioning Captain Jason," she shared with Us. "I haven't even had the chance to meet him in person, I think."

She added, "I find [the guys from Southern Charm] very attractive and charming. All of them. But my thought is, 'Am I looking for another Jax?' Not that they'd be identical to Jax, but, you know, I simply need to determine my path."
Brittany's comments naturally pertained to her soon-to-be ex-husband, Jax Taylor. Their initial meeting occurred in 2015, bridging seasons 3 and 4 of the popular Bravo series Vanderpump Rules. Viewers followed their relationship's evolution — from Brittany relocating to live with Jax in season 4, to Jax's infidelity with former SUR employee Faith Stowers between seasons 5 and 6 — culminating in their marriage in June 2019.
During 2024, Brittany initiated divorce proceedings against Jax, as per court records acquired by Us then, stating "irreconcilable differences" for their separation and requesting exclusive legal and physical guardianship of their son, Cruz. Subsequently, the ex-couple has been embroiled in an extended legal dispute — a situation Brittany earnestly hopes will conclude in the near future.
"Developments are occurring with Jax," Brittany commented on her divorce progress during The Valley panel on Friday. "The date was set for October 15, but it has been postponed. I'm really hoping for the best."
As Brittany persists in managing her current divorce and co-parenting with her former spouse, she will no longer be required to film with him, following Jax's announcement that he was departing the show to prioritize his mental well-being.
"Currently, my priorities must be my sobriety, my psychological health, and my co-parenting dynamic," Jax informed Variety. "Dedication of this time is essential for me to evolve into my optimal self — particularly for our son, Cuz."
That Friday, Brittany spoke candidly about her experience filming the latest season without her estranged husband, asserting to the audience at the same panel that she is "absolutely" regaining her "liveliness."
"I believe it has returned significantly," she elaborated. "It was wonderful to not face constant antagonism throughout the season. It felt good to have a reprieve and simply dedicate my attention to myself and my child. It was a very positive time."

With Jax no longer on the show, his former Vanderpump Rules co-stars Lala Kent and Tom Schwartz have become regular cast members for season 3 of The Valley. However, Scheana Shay will not be part of the cast, notwithstanding her strong connections to several of the personalities.
"I've discussed this extensively with her, and, truly, it's her personal choice," Brittany conveyed to Us on Friday regarding Scheana's evident choice not to film for the program. "I adore her. I adore Brock [Davies] and [their daughter] Summer. I genuinely believe they are, you know, doing what's most suitable for their family."
She further stated, "I believe there are numerous aspects people are unaware of, and perhaps, eventually, she will return. Because she remains a friend to us."
