This direct response was prompted by an online remark from a user expressing deep disappointment that Bunnie, age 45, chose to remain with a partner who had been unfaithful.
“My dear,” the user posted beneath one of Bunnie’s updates. “Your spouse was unfaithful. You reconciled with him and have presented an image of flawless happiness ever since. I am extremely disheartened. We can no longer see you as an inspiration. Where are your companions? How can anyone endorse this? I pray to the Lord to grant Bunnie the fortitude to move on.”

While Bunnie had not previously discussed that specific phase of her life, she alluded to challenging moments within her marriage in a TikTok video posted in 2024.
“Who could have foreseen that our separation in 2018, my return to Vegas, and your subsequent effort to win me back — would propel us onto this unpredictable adventure called life,” she penned in the accompanying text. “We ultimately dedicated ourselves to one another and fulfilled every pledge we made on that initial evening in 2016. Our temporary foundation needed to collapse for us to construct something more enduring.”
Jelly Roll, known officially as Jason Bradley DeFord, disclosed during the “Human School” podcast episode aired on Tuesday, October 21, that he had previously been unfaithful to Bunnie.
“Among the most regrettable times in my adult life was when I engaged in an affair with my wife,” he confessed. “This was because it marked the first occasion I truly felt, ‘I am utterly failing at this. I know I deeply love this woman.’ It profoundly shocked me.”

This past August, Jelly Roll, aged 40, and Bunnie commemorated their ninth wedding anniversary, having tied the knot in Las Vegas in 2016, a year subsequent to their initial meeting at one of the country artist’s performances in the city. The period following the infidelity was arduous, with Jelly Roll later remarking that it necessitated “considerable effort to mend” their bond, which he believes is now more robust than before.
“I wish our narrative had unfolded without the occurrence of an affair,” he commented. “I am proud of the individuals we have become today … truly proud.”
He further mentioned that the infidelity coincided with a period when he was “associating with many individuals who were being unfaithful to their spouses,” and he allowed their behaviors to sway his own choices.
“During the time I was using cocaine, I was surrounded by many people who were also using cocaine,” he stated.
“I once took pride in friendships of long duration simply because they represented a certain number of years,” he proceeded. “Despite them being terrible people. Yet I would boast, ‘That person has been my friend for 12 years.’ A truly awful individual!”
