Callum Turner and Dua Lipa's Long Distance Love Story Thrives on FaceTime and Shared Books
The engaged duo, Callum Turner and Dua Lipa, seem to be incredibly fortunate in their romance, effortlessly managing the demands of a long-distance relationship.
“Indeed, FaceTime is an incredible tool, and our guiding principle is that it’s always worthwhile — that’s what we live by,” the 35-year-old Turner shared with The Times of London in an interview released on Saturday, October 18. “If a two-day visit is possible, just make the trip; your fatigue won't matter because you'll create enjoyable moments and cherished memories.”
The actor also disclosed that he recently flew to Boston for a brief two-day visit solely to spend time with Lipa, 30, fitting it into their demanding schedules of her tour and his movie shoots.
“Despite my exhaustion, we truly enjoyed ourselves. We dined at an amazing restaurant, possibly called Neptune — I always struggle to recall place names,” Turner recounted to the publication. “Thankfully, she has an excellent memory. It stood out as one of the finest dining experiences of my life, and since I shared it with her, I'm delighted I made the effort.”

The actor from Eternity and Lipa commenced their relationship in January 2024.
“We almost crossed paths on several occasions, perhaps two, three, four, or even five times, without actually meeting,” Turner explained to The Times about how their romance began. “In one instance, she attended a party, and I arrived minutes after her departure. I got there at 2 AM, and she had left at 1:45 AM. … Many similar situations occurred, and then, when we were both available and single, I simply considered her the most stunning woman I had ever seen.”
Their eventual meeting took place at a mutual acquaintance's birthday celebration in Los Angeles.
“We found ourselves seated beside each other and discovered we were both immersed in the same book, which felt quite serendipitous. It's titled Trust [by Hernán Díaz],” Turner humorously remarked. “I mentioned I had just completed the first chapter, and she responded, looking at me, ‘I just finished the first chapter as well.’ I replied, ‘So, we're literally on the same page.’”

He added, “If this were a film, I'd glance upwards and think, ‘I hear you. I get it.’ The indications were undeniable, and that truly marked our initial significant connection.”
As the relationship between Turner and Lipa grew more serious, they proceeded to introduce each other to their respective families.
“She was keen on making a good impression on my mother,” Turner further shared with the Times. “I also felt apprehensive about meeting her parents; I hoped they would approve of me.”
With their parents' blessings secured, Turner and Lipa's relationship progressed rapidly. The “Levitating” artist and Turner made their first public appearance as a couple at the 2025 Met Gala in May, followed a month later by the announcement of their engagement.
“We are engaged. It's truly thrilling,” Lipa disclosed to British Vogue in an article published in June. “It’s incredibly exciting. This choice to spend our lives together, to envision a future and simply, I suppose, be eternal best friends. It’s a profoundly unique sensation.”
