Camila Morrone Opens Up About Life After Leonardo DiCaprio and Finding Healing Through Film
Camila Morrone is reflecting on her four-year romance with the celebrated actor Leonardo DiCaprio.
“When you’re an actress, people will inevitably focus on aspects of your private life,” Morrone, 28, shared in an interview with The Times, published on Saturday, January 10. “Perhaps with future projects, things might shift, but it’s an unavoidable consequence of this profession. Having been raised in Hollywood, I was familiar with this dynamic. I was surrounded by celebrities. It’s commonplace for those living in LA to see Brad Pitt at the coffee shop, you know?”
Morrone then referenced Al Pacino, who “is not technically my stepfather, but he was my mom’s partner for a significant period.” (Pacino, now 85, dated Morrone’s mom, Lucila Solá, from 2008 to 2018.)
“I understood how demanding the industry could be, and the intense scrutiny and attention directed at individuals within this field,” she continued.

Us Weekly exclusively confirmed in August 2022 that Morrone and DiCaprio, now 51, had ended their relationship after four years together.
“[DiCaprio] has been attending events and taking vacations without [Morrone], from the Care Gala to Unicef Gala to Saint Tropez,” a source revealed to Us at the time. “He has been spending more time socializing with close friends like Tobey Maguire and Jamie Foxx.”
Years later, Morrone spoke candidly about how the film Gonzo Girl — filmed around the time of her split from DiCaprio — impacted her personal life. (Deadline listed the film as “currently in production” on August 22, 2022, shortly before Us reported that Morrone and DiCaprio had separated.)
“It’s difficult to express the significance of Gonzo Girl — both professionally and personally,” Morrone wrote via Instagram in 2025. “Back in June 2020, I received an email regarding an audition. A film directed by Patricia Arquette, starring Willem Dafoe, based on a novel. Two of my absolute favorite performers. My initial thought was that they wouldn’t choose me. Surely, they’d select a more established actress.”

She continued, “But to my complete surprise, Patricia took a chance on me. Based on a single video audition. I recall the call from my agents, at 8 am on my birthday. I burst into tears. Even though it took several years for the project to materialize, Patricia remained supportive through every challenge this film faced. On a personal level, I filmed this movie during one of the most difficult periods in my life. I struggled to regain my footing. In many ways, this story—and the support of Patricia and Willem — helped me recover.”
Morrone concluded her post by noting that she’s “so proud” of the film and “endlessly grateful” for the opportunity to be involved in it.
One year after separating from Morrone, DiCaprio was spotted with model Vittoria Ceretti. The pair, who have been dating since 2023, were recently seen on a rare outing while shopping in Los Angeles in December 2025. In photos obtained by TMZ, DiCaprio and Ceretti shared a kiss in a Melrose Place boutique.
Morrone, meanwhile, confirmed her relationship with director Cole Bennett in 2024.
