Charlie Kirk's Final Year: Fatherhood Amidst Tragedy
Conservative political figure Charlie Kirk became a father to two children with former Miss Arizona USA titleholder Erika Frantzve prior to his passing in September 2025.
Kirk and Frantzve exchanged vows in 2021, following a two-year courtship. Their family grew with the arrival of a daughter in August 2022, followed by a son in May 2024.
During September 2025, the co-founder of Turning Point USA was fatally wounded by gunfire while delivering a speech at Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah. He was quickly transported to a medical facility for care, where he subsequently succumbed to his injuries, as reported by various news sources at that time.
Among those who issued tributes and appeals for prayers for Kirk's loved ones after the tragic shooting was President Donald Trump.

Erika Frantzve
The pair began their romance in 2019, with Kirk revealing their engagement on his podcast in December 2020. Kirk and Frantzve — an entrepreneur and former beauty queen — ultimately exchanged vows in Scottsdale, Arizona, in May 2021.
Frantzve, an evangelical Christian, much like her deceased husband, discussed in an August 2021 interview the “gifts” the newlywed couple had experienced since their marriage, contemplating the transformation her life underwent after encountering Kirk.
“I understood that, given the manner in which we conducted our lives and our dedication [to God] in particular areas, along with our deliberate approach, we would receive [God’s] grace,” she stated in a 2021 conversation. “I never anticipated such an incredible abundance of blessings before us, upon us, and divine favor for us.”
Considering her existence prior to meeting Kirk, she commented: “What you once perceived as challenging [in the past] and what you considered extraordinary at the time, they pale in comparison [to current life]. I believe individuals sometimes cling to moments and phases of our lives that we should let go of.”
In May 2025, Kirk commemorated his relationship with Frantzve through an Instagram post, marking their fourth wedding anniversary.
“Today signifies 4 years of marriage to @mrserikakirk. Beyond embracing Jesus, it’s the finest choice I’ve ever made. She is courageous, intelligent, devoted, and lovely,” he penned. “Happy anniversary Erika, I adore you.”

Kirk acknowledged his wife's resilience during childbirth as he declared the arrival of their first offspring, a daughter, in August 2022. They had deliberately kept Frantzve's pregnancy out of the public eye beforehand.
“Welcome to the world, dear daughter. Our love for you is immense,” he posted on Instagram. “Erika performed exceptionally well, thank God!”
Upon Kirk's return to his radio program the subsequent Monday, he characterized the preceding week as “a transformative period in my life.”

And I assure you, it wasn't simple.”
