Actor Chase Stokes is reportedly heartbroken following his recent split from country music star Kelsea Ballerini, an exclusive insider reveals to Us Weekly.

“Chase is truly devastated,” the source confided to Us. “Their relationship was a constant rollercoaster of emotions.”

Us verified on Thursday, November 20, that Ballerini, 32, and Stokes, 33, had parted ways, with another insider suggesting their romance had become “extremely unstable and unhealthy.” (Representatives for both Ballerini and Stokes did not respond to requests for comment.)

Just a few hours prior, Stokes garnered attention after appearing to reference his relationship turmoil with the artist behind “I Sit in Parks.”

“I’ve been blocked, I genuinely did nothing wrong. My apologies. I made an effort,” Stokes posted in a sequence of enigmatic Instagram Story updates on Thursday. “I regret it for those who had faith in our connection. Such is life. Moving forward and onward.”

Stokes and Ballerini began their romance in January 2023, marking the Grammy-nominated singer’s initial relationship following her 2022 divorce from Morgan Evans.

“I was prepared to be vulnerable again [after my divorce]. I simply thought, ‘Why not give it a try? I’ve never truly dated. I’m unsure of how it operates,’” Ballerini shared during a February 2023 segment on the “Call Her Daddy” podcast. “I was like, ‘Let’s just make ourselves available. Ballerini began envisioning Mount Pleasant in the period following the release of her 2024 studio album, Patterns, and the commencement of her inaugural arena tour.

“I experienced the most significant surge of positive emotion in my adult existence and subsequent months of ‘downtime’ to truly process the emotions that arose in moments of calm and solitude,” she further elaborated. “While I enjoy projecting an image of glamour and self-assurance, I was grappling with profound feelings of insecurity that I hadn’t previously articulated in my songwriting. [I felt] a strong sense of validation from fans and music enthusiasts through my more recent work, which has been more emotionally raw and occasionally uncomfortably candid.
