Chelsea Handler is offering details about her past romance with 50 Cent.
“He persuaded me to go out with him following his appearance on my program,” Handler, 50, shared with Scott Evans on the December 5 installment of his “House Guest” podcast. “I believe it was on a Friday when he was a guest. Then, when I returned to the office after the weekend, I found a multitude of roses there.”
The comedian mentioned her assistant informed her, “Curtis Cent has called three times.” (The 50-year-old rapper’s birth name is Curtis James Jackson III.)
“I asked, ‘Who is Curtis?’” Handler explained further. “She replied, ‘Fiddy.’”

Handler mentioned that her assistant relayed 50 Cent's request to speak with her, but Handler initially declined the offer.
“Every one of those men attempted to flirt with me,” Handler stated. “However, Curtis possessed a kind demeanor.”
Handler lightheartedly questioned how 50 Cent could have been “shot on so many occasions” given his gentle personality. (The “In da Club” musician endured nine gunshot wounds from close range near his grandmother's residence in Queens, New York, in 2000, leading to significant harm.)
“So I remember saying to him, ‘Look, I won't go out on a date with you,’” she recounted. Nevertheless, she extended an invitation for him to attend one of her stand-up performances in New Orleans, suggesting they could have a drink together afterward.
“He's genuinely kind, and he abstains from drugs, which I joked was the greatest letdown of the situation,” Handler quipped. “And we only dated for a very short time, but it gained significant media attention because everyone was wondering, ‘What are these two doing together?’ But truly, he was among the most pleasant individuals I've met.”
Handler and 50 Cent had a short relationship in 2011.
“To be frank, I'm unsure if I can manage him. I prefer enjoying myself, and I am actively attempting to avoid anything overly committed,” the Chelsea Lately personality stated exclusively to Us Weekly during that period.
Handler subsequently referred to the Den of Thieves performer as her “preferred ex-partner.”
“I adore 50 Cent; he brought joy. He was simply a wonderful person to be around,” she explained to Entertainment Tonight in January 2023. “My social circle thoroughly enjoyed spending time with him. I enjoyed spending time with him too. The romance was quite brief, lasting only two months. But yes, I would certainly grab a drink with him if I saw him.”

Handler also discussed her romance with 50 Cent during her appearance on Alex Cooper’s “Call Her Daddy” podcast earlier this year, explaining the strong positive reaction from her friends.
“When I was dating him, all my friends absolutely adored it, because he would visit our home every evening, sometimes in a Lamborghini and other times in a yellow Ferrari,” she elaborated. “However, I later discovered he was actually loaning these vehicles from various dealerships. I remember thinking, ‘Is that even possible?’ I was quite surprised.”
Handler mentioned that she subsequently acquired her own high-end vehicle.
“I purchased a Bentley. I opted for a chocolate Bentley as a humorous response to him continually arriving with different cars each night,” she continued. “I was unaware that celebrities could borrow cars. So I went and bought a chocolate Bentley, and shortly after, we ended things. There I was, left with this chocolate Bentley, driving around feeling like a foolish white woman trying to emulate a rapper, but I kept that Bentley, which was a truly lovely car, for around two years.”
