Chickenfry's PCOS Diagnosis Sparks Vulnerable Plea for Community Support
Following a recent health diagnosis, social media personality Brianna “Chickenfry” LaPaglia has reached out to her audience for guidance.
In a TikTok video shared on Tuesday, November 25, the 26-year-old LaPaglia expressed, “I genuinely hope this message finds the relevant community on TikTok. I underwent a Prenuvo [full body MRI scan], received the findings, and while I somewhat anticipated it would affirm PCOS, its confirmation has left me subtly panicking.”
According to the Mayo Clinic, Polycystic Ovary Syndrome, commonly known as PCOS, is an endocrine condition that may lead to symptoms such as erratic menstrual cycles, increased hair growth, and challenges with conception. Additional signs could involve weight gain, areas of darkened skin, skin growths, hair thinning, and frequent ovarian cysts.
LaPaglia mentioned that she herself experiences PCOS without noticeable symptoms, a common occurrence for some individuals.

She elaborated, “I don’t perceive… I don’t feel anything amiss with my body; I don’t exhibit symptoms. Occasionally, my menstrual cycle is unusual, but generally, it remains consistent. However, under extreme stress, I might miss it for a few months.”
LaPaglia further stated that her primary worry revolves around how the condition might affect her reproductive capabilities and future family planning.
Tears streaming down her face, she questioned, “My sole concern currently is, ‘Will I be able to have a child in the future?’ Oh goodness, I am absolutely terrified.”
The online personality concluded her message by appealing, “To anyone managing PCOS, please reach out to me. I need your support and guidance immediately.”
Following her post, numerous followers inundated the comments section with comforting words and practical advice for LaPaglia. Many affirmed that conceiving children is often achievable despite a PCOS diagnosis, while others recommended consulting a fertility expert for personalized information and answers.
One commenter offered reassurance, writing, “You will be fine, queen. Any diagnosis can be daunting, but individual experiences vary greatly! I am aware of many women with PCOS who have successfully conceived.”
Another supporter chimed in, saying, “Hello, fellow PCOS queen. While this news is frightening, you now have a vast community to connect with. You are not isolated! Scientific advancements are ongoing, and I believe we will see increased focus in medical research over the coming years. Stay strong.”
This health revelation for LaPaglia coincides with a significant transition in her career, marked by the conclusion of her “BFFs” podcast, which she co-hosted with fellow TikTok sensation Josh Richards. On November 18, during the “BFFS: THE FINALE” livestream, LaPaglia and Richards, 23, bid farewell to the podcast after a five-year run.
During an exclusive interview with Us Weekly, conducted while she was promoting her role in season 4 of Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test (which wrapped up on November 20), LaPaglia shared, “We found ourselves far more emotional than anticipated. This had been planned several months in advance. It simply reached its natural conclusion for us.”
Public Figures Who Spoke Candidly About Their Experiences with Endometriosis
Currently, LaPaglia is dedicating her attention to her podcast, “PlanBri Uncut,” which resumed weekly broadcasts in October following a twelve-month break.
She informed Us, “My desire is for it to be a dependable weekly podcast. A show where listeners can tune in and feel as though they have a close friend accompanying them, whether through headphones, in their car, or wherever they might be engaging with the content.”
Beyond her podcasting transition, LaPaglia also distinguished herself as a finalist in season 4 of Special Forces. She advanced to the interrogation phase of the finale before choosing to withdraw from the competition.
Regarding her time on the program, LaPaglia shared exclusively with Us, “I achieved my objectives in coming here. Naturally, had I known the show was ending in just five minutes, I would have persevered. I lost all sense of time during our capture. However, I arrived with specific goals in mind, and I depart feeling content.”
LaPaglia further mentioned that she is continuing to discover more about herself in the aftermath of her appearance on the series.
She reflected, “This experience occurred at an ideal moment in my life. Being 26 and participating in the show, it makes you question things. One often believes their twenties will be the peak years of enjoyment. Looking back, it truly felt like, ‘Am I experiencing torment?’ Was this genuinely a hellish experience in every conceivable aspect? The show served as a crucial turning point, enabling me to mature and introduce a different facet of my personality to a broader viewership.”
