Chris Evans and Alba Baptista's Journey from Whispers to a Family
Actor Chris Evans has committed to a lifelong partnership with actress Alba Baptista.
Speculation about their relationship began in 2021, initiated by Evans posting an image of two carved Halloween pumpkins online. Devotees of the Marvel actor observed that this picture bore a remarkable resemblance to an image Baptista’s mother, Elsa, had featured as her profile photo on social media just weeks before.
In the subsequent year, Evans and Baptista offered a discreet affirmation of their affection when photographed hand-in-hand during an public appearance. By January 2023, the duo formally acknowledged their connection on Instagram.
“A look back at 2022,” Evans captioned a humorous video montage depicting the couple playfully startling one another while moving through doorways and performing household chores. Near the conclusion of the footage, Baptista is audible, laughing and exclaiming “I knew it” upon realizing Evans’ pranking strategy.
Subsequently that year, Evans and Baptista exchanged vows. They conducted a ceremony in Boston and a second one in Baptista’s home country of Portugal. By October 2025, various news sources announced that the couple had become parents to their first child.
