Chris Evans' Romantic Past Fuels Hope for Lasting Love

Prior to meeting his spouse, Alba Baptista, Chris Evans experienced a varied romantic journey with its share of challenges — yet he held onto the belief that he would eventually discover his soulmate.

This ex-pair started their relationship in 2001 and collaborated on two movies, London and Cellular, during their time together. “We frequently discuss [marriage]. Both of us desire matrimony, and both of us wish to have offspring,” Biel confided in Cosmopolitan twelve months prior to her breakup with Evans. She ultimately wed Justin Timberlake in 2012.

Even with Evans’ difficulty in securing an enduring romance, he consistently maintained optimism about establishing his own family someday.

“I absolutely desire children. I absolutely desire a family. However, one must not rush things prematurely,” he explained to USA Today following his initial separation from Jenny Slate in 2017. “A family functions properly only if it originates from the profound affection one holds for another individual. Should your desire for a child suddenly outweigh your commitment to the partnership, your foundation might be precarious.”

By October 2025, Evans and Baptista celebrated the arrival of their first child.
