Chris Martin and Sophie Turner are embarking on a new chapter — together.
Following their recent separations from Dakota Johnson and Peregrine Pearson, the 48-year-old Coldplay lead singer and the 29-year-old actress from Game of Thrones have started a romantic involvement, a source verified by Us Weekly.
“They've had several outings in London,” the insider disclosed solely to Us. “The relationship is quite nascent, but their connection is strong, and there's a clear romantic interest.”
The informant revealed that Martin and Turner initially “crossed paths years ago casually” due to “shared acquaintances in the music business” during her five-year union with Joe Jonas.

“Their interactions were always amicable,” the insider informed Us. “Sophie consistently held Chris in high regard and was a significant admirer of both him and his melodies long before their initial encounter. She's even playfully mentioned having a slight infatuation with him, so it's amusing and almost unbelievable that they've now formed a romantic bond.” (In 2020, Turner gasped and became emotional on Jonas' Quibi program, Cup of Joe, when he surprised her with a video birthday greeting from Martin.)
To date, Martin and Turner's budding romance is progressing smoothly, largely attributable to their common passions.
“They share many similarities, and Chris clearly fits her preferences,” the source observed. “Their connection strengthened through their British heritage and a mutual passion for music.”

Reports emerged in June indicating that Martin and Johnson, 36, had ended their relationship after almost eight years. Although neither individual publicly verified these accounts, the actress from Materialists was later seen without her engagement ring.
Us was the sole outlet to disclose the on-and-off couple's romantic involvement in December 2017 and confirmed in March 2024 that they had been privately “betrothed for some time.”
Turner, on her side, was most recently romantically involved with Pearson, 31, spanning from October 2023 until the previous September.
“Their personalities clashed, and they weren't compatible,” the source informed Us regarding the reason for the Emmy nominee's separation from the British nobleman. “They attempted to reconcile, but their rapport was off, and Sophie desired to progress.”
