Chris Olsen Reflects on Loss, Love, and a Hopeful Future
TikTok personality Chris Olsen is reflecting on the events of 2025, including the passing of his grandmother and the start of a new relationship.
“This year proved to be one of the most challenging (since my time in rehab) and that is largely due to the fact that I lost my Lola, something I never anticipated experiencing so soon in my life,” Olsen shared via Instagram on Wednesday, December 31. “When Lola and I created all of our videos together, I knew I would eventually be glad to have them to look back on, but I believed we would have more time to film many more.”
He continued, “I am thankful for the fact that the last time we saw each other before she was hospitalized was at one of my shows, where I highlighted her and ensured everyone applauded for her. I had removed all social media content about two months prior to her death, so I could retreat for a while and concentrate on regaining a sense of self and stability, and she had been telling me she was missing my videos. It hasn’t been simple to accept that I didn’t resume posting before she passed (my initial post back was about losing her), but I also know she hasn’t missed a single video since.”
Olsen noted that it’s “no surprise” to him that “so many positive things seemed to occur” after her death.

“Yes, it was likely also because I was mentally healthy once more, but I also know she has been working from above to ensure I know she’s still here to support me,” he wrote. “I spent the summer living in another country (and adored it), I met my Harry who I have a significant crush on, I have a clear understanding of what I want to achieve in my life, and for the first time in a while, I feel hopeful that it will all happen.”
He concluded, “I know a perspective like this can always fluctuate, but I will cling to it for as long as I can because that’s all Lola would want. 2026 and beyond will be dedicated to her; it will be about being kind to myself, forgiving of myself and others, and being as driven to succeed as I was when everything still felt attainable. I love uuu.”
Alongside the message, Olsen shared a photograph with his grandmother and images of him sharing a tender kiss with his new boyfriend. Olsen first revealed his new romance on TikTok in October, sharing clips of the pair but obscuring the identity of his mystery man.
“I’m not aiming to be a couples account again and for the first time I’m being more discreet & that’s enjoyable,” Olsen wrote in the caption. “I knowww the censor is irritatingggg but I still want to create these kinds of videos because I am incredibly happyyyyy.”
Two months later, Olsen went on to disclose that he is dating Harrison Dockerty. In the TikTok video, he shared clips of him traveling to visit his boyfriend with a bouquet of flowers in his hand. “Finally located him,” he wrote.
