Connie Britton to Marry Producer Boyfriend David Windsor After Nearly Six Years Together
Reports suggest that actress Connie Britton and David Windsor are set to marry, following almost six years as a couple.
As reported by People on Sunday, October 26, a spokesperson for Britton, age 58, verified to the publication that she plans to marry her boyfriend, a producer.
The publication additionally featured an image of the former Friday Night Lights star – who first encountered Windsor at a mutual friend’s 50th birthday celebration in November 2019 – sporting a ring on her left hand while kissing Windsor at LAX Airport on Friday, October 24.

The performer recounted her initial glimpse of Windsor, known for his work on television shows like This Is Us and Not Dead Yet, during a January 2023 discussion on Sirius XM’s Radio Andy. “I was conversing with my friend when he looked beyond me and spotted David elsewhere in the room, remarking, ‘There’s someone here you absolutely must be introduced to,’” she shared with host Andy Cohen then, subsequently noting that she would “never forget” that first sight of Windsor, even though they didn't formally interact at the event.
During the broadcast, Britton clarified that she departed the gathering prematurely to tuck her son Yoby into bed, stating, “My friend exclaimed, ‘Hold on! I wanted to introduce you to David!’ And I responded, ‘You know what, just tell him to send me an email,’” she recalled. (Britton welcomed Eyob “Yoby” into her family from Ethiopia in 2011.)
She did mention, though, that Windsor messaged her the next day, and their initial public appearance was documented by the Daily Mail, which released pictures of them exiting a West Hollywood eatery in September 2021. A year later, the couple made a red carpet appearance at HBO’s Emmy’s Party.

In her 2023 discussion with Cohen, Britton also spoke about her increasing affection for Windsor. “I am currently with a wonderful man, and he is certainly embracing a more fatherly role,” she informed Cohen, 57, during that period. The conversation additionally disclosed that Windsor is a divorcee from a prior marriage and has two children, a son named Archie and a daughter named Tilly, with his former spouse.
Regarding her own marital history, Britton wed her former husband, investment banker John Britton, in 1991, with their divorce finalized in 1995.
The former Nashville star elaborated on her feelings for Windsor during a March interview with Parade. “My true desire was a partnership characterized by continuous development, mutually, and a kind of profound understanding of one another,” she shared with the publication then. “And consequently, a deeper understanding of myself — and for him, of himself.”
