David Beckham’s “Beckjam” is giving Meghan Markle’s American Riviera Orchard a run for its money
Meghan Markle isn't the sole famous figure with a passion for crafting preserves — and David Beckham could very well be (politely) eclipsing her in this endeavor.
“It’s been a weekend filled with culinary activities for us,” David’s spouse, Victoria Beckham, remarked in an Instagram Stories video posted on Sunday, September 7. “Actually, it’s been more for you. I’ve just observed. You’ve produced a considerable amount of jam, utilizing the plums [from our garden].”
Victoria, aged 51, subsequently requested that David, 50, present his creations to her audience, noting his “considerable pride” in his efforts.
“David Beckjam,” Victoria humorously declared, enunciating the name on a jar of preserves, which cleverly incorporated a play on their surname.

David, in turn, quipped with brevity that the moniker was “novel” before the fashion designer inquired about the total “number” of jars prepared to date.
“Observe, he’s even utilized his small labeling device,” Victoria jested, while David rummaged through a cooler, retrieving additional jars. “David Beckjam 1, 2 [and] we possess an entire … collection. I adore you! Are you something of a business person?”
David, nonetheless, responded with a firm “no” to the notion of becoming an emerging jam vendor.
Meghan, 43, on her side, commenced producing homemade preserves in 2024 under the designation American Riviera Orchard. Subsequently, she rebranded it to As Ever.

Meghan proceeded, “Abruptly, it transformed into this jumbled phrase. I wasn’t entirely fond of that. I thought, ‘Alright, let’s revert to what I’ve always cherished. Let’s employ the name I safeguarded for a specific purpose, which had remained somewhat concealed.’ Subsequently, we could concentrate in tranquility, dedicate ourselves, and develop something that no one was actively investigating. That period of stillness proved genuinely beneficial.”
Well before Meghan commenced selling her As Ever offerings, she distributed jars of her preserves to renowned acquaintances, such as Abigail Spencer, Serena Williams and Kris Jenner.
“It was simply, ‘Allow me to share these,’” she stated during a season 1 installment of her Netflix series With Love, Meghan. “And then individuals began to perceive it quite personally.”
