Denise Richards Calls Aaron Phypers' Mother to Testify on Alleged Abuse
According to an exclusive report from Us Weekly, Denise Richards plans to summon her estranged spouse Aaron Phypers’ mother to provide testimony in court regarding his purported “abuse.”
Richards, aged 54, filed her roster of witnesses for the upcoming hearing on August 29, a list featuring Aaron’s 84-year-old mother, Patricia Phypers. During this proceeding, Richards intends to advocate for the transformation of her temporary restraining order against Aaron, 52, into a perpetual one.
Richards indicated that Patricia is slated to “provide testimony concerning discussions” she had with Richards “pertaining to the abuse allegedly inflicted upon [Richards] by [Aaron].”
She stated her expectation that Patricia would give evidence for a duration of sixty minutes.
Furthermore, she identified Aaron as a witness she intended to call for a four-hour testimony session.
Richards declared her intention to testify about “all circumstances related to domestic violence committed by” Aaron. She intends to summon three undisclosed witnesses. Richards mentioned that two of these individuals possess information about Aaron’s alleged abusive actions. An additional unnamed witness was also noted. The former star of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills explained that she was concealing the names to ensure the witnesses’ safety.
Collectively, these three witnesses are scheduled to provide testimony for a cumulative duration of four hours.
As Us earlier reported, Richards leveled accusations of abusive behavior against Aaron during their marital union in a request for a restraining order, submitted shortly after Aaron initiated divorce proceedings.

Aaron vehemently refutes every allegation of abuse made by Richards.
Aaron had previously stated to Us, “I wish to address the recent rumors and conjectures that have emerged concerning my connection with my wife, Denise Richards. Allow me to state with absolute clarity: I have never physically or emotionally harmed Denise — or any individual.”
He further remarked, “These allegations are entirely untrue and profoundly damaging. Denise and I, similar to numerous other partnerships, have encountered our portion of difficulties, but any insinuation of abuse is unequivocally unfounded. I have consistently endeavored to conduct our marriage with affection, forbearance, and esteem. I request discretion as we handle private affairs, and I trust that the public and media will abstain from disseminating detrimental and unsubstantiated assertions.”
According to court papers, Richards asserted that she vacated the shared residence in Calabasas, California, in late 2023, citing marital discord. She explained that she leased three separate townhomes located several miles distant.
On August 3, Richards traveled to the dwelling she formerly shared with Aaron. She stated her purpose was to collect personal belongings. Currently, Aaron, along with his parents and brother, resides in the property. Aaron contacted law enforcement upon Richards’ arrival, prompted by his apprehension of inadvertently breaching the restraining order given the actress’s proximity.
