Denise Richards divorce gets messy as exes Charlie Sheen and Brandi Glanville are subpoenaed
Denise Richards' estranged spouse, Aaron Phypers, has indicated his intention to subpoena her former husband, Charlie Sheen, and one-time confidante Brandi Glanville for testimony in their ongoing divorce proceedings, as reported by Us Weekly.
Phypers, aged 53, submitted a roster of individuals he intends to summon as witnesses for the forthcoming hearing scheduled for the following month, on Monday, September 29.
Among Phypers' proposed witnesses was Sheen, 60, who, along with Richards, 54, was recently seen at a red carpet event promoting his Netflix documentary. Sheen and Richards' marriage lasted from 2002 until 2006. Despite a tumultuous separation, the former couple currently seems to maintain an amicable relationship.
Also named on the list was Glanville, 52, a once-close friend of Richards whose relationship dramatically unraveled on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. During season 10 of RHOBH, Glanville asserted she had an intimate encounter with Richards, an allegation Richards firmly refuted.
Phypers stated that he, along with his family members — his mother Patricia Phypers, father Steven Phypers, and brother Brett Phypers — will address Richards' claims of spousal abuse by Phypers during their union.
Furthermore, they intend to discuss Richards' alleged “absence of apprehension, calls, texts, videos she transmitted, her own acts of aggression, the destruction of Aaron’s phone, unauthorized entry into family members’ private spaces,” among other relevant subjects.
Aaron confirmed his intention to cross-examine Richards regarding her accusations against him, specifically focusing on “her credibility as a witness” and purported acts of aggression towards him. He indicated her testimony would last between one and two hours.

Richards’ father, Irv Richards, is also slated to testify concerning his exchanges with Richards. Page Six initially broke this story.
As Us earlier disclosed, Aaron initiated divorce proceedings against Denise on July 7, following six years of marriage. He sought regular spousal support payments from Denise.
Shortly thereafter, Denise submitted legal documents requesting a temporary restraining order, citing Aaron’s alleged abusive behavior.
The actress asserted, “During the course of our union, Aaron would routinely and forcefully choke me, vigorously press on my head with both hands, firmly grasp my arms, forcefully strike my face and head, aggressively shove my head into the bathroom towel rack, issue death threats, restrain me with his knee on my back until I begged him to release me to avoid suffocation, and illegally access my laptop and phone to download all my text communications.”
The court subsequently issued a temporary restraining order against Aaron.

On his behalf, Aaron strenuously refuted the allegations of abusing Denise.
He stated to Us, “These allegations are entirely fabricated and profoundly distressing. Denise and I, similar to numerous partnerships, encountered our own difficulties, but any insinuation of abuse is unequivocally false. I consistently endeavored to approach our matrimony with affection, forbearance, and esteem. I request discretion as we handle private affairs, and I trust the public and media will abstain from disseminating damaging and unsubstantiated assertions.”
The presiding judge has not yet rendered a decision regarding Richards’ application for a permanent restraining order.
