The star of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills further stated that it has been “a process” and that she benefits from a “great support system.”
Subsequently, during the panel discussion, Richards acknowledged that the separation has been “very daunting” because it has unfolded publicly. “It’s distinct because, with reality shows, our private lives are exposed,” Richards explained. “When you’re on reality [TV], you cannot feign ignorance of what is occurring.”

Richards recounted Phypers supposedly assaulting her on several occasions during their marriage. She elaborated on a recent purported incident where Phypers became physical with her while she was recovering from a surgical procedure. Within court documents, Richards documented the alleged mistreatment she endured.
“Aaron would often violently choke me, forcefully press my head with both hands, tightly grip my arms, violently strike my face and head, aggressively force my head into the bathroom towel rack, threaten my life, pin me down with his knee on my back to the extent that I would have to beg him to release me so he wouldn’t kill me, and unlawfully access my laptop and phone to download all my text messages,” she claimed.
During his testimony, Phypers refuted ever laying hands on or menacing Richards. He asserted that one of the black eyes she attributed to him resulted from her bumping into a pole.

“While we have not reviewed the criminal complaint, we presume it is most probably founded upon certain identical baseless allegations that Denise Richards has leveled against Mr. Phypers in the family law domestic violence case, which she states happened almost four years prior,” Phypers’ attorney continued. “Should this be the situation, we anticipate that the proof will establish Mr. Phypers’ blamelessness and that he will be exonerated.”
As Us initially disclosed, Richards and Phypers recently faced an eviction lawsuit. (The former couple cohabited in the residence in question before Richards relocated in 2023. Currently, Phypers and his relatives are the sole occupants of the dwelling.)
