Diddy Orchestrates Thanksgiving Feast for Fellow Inmates at Fort Dix
Sean “Diddy” Combs contributed to lifting the spirits of his fellow incarcerated individuals during the Thanksgiving holiday.
The 56-year-old Diddy, currently incarcerated at FCI Fort Dix in New Jersey, played a role in orchestrating and financing a prisoner-organized feast for the holiday on Thursday, November 27. Over 1,000 men received meals within the federal institution.
“For me, Thanksgiving revolves around ensuring others are nourished,” Diddy conveyed exclusively to Us Weekly via his representative. “Everyone yearns for their loved ones. The holidays often bring sadness. Our aim was simply to unite as a community and create our own celebration.”
Diddy collaborated with an internal collective known as Bankroll Bosses to facilitate the meal's realization. The music mogul and fellow inmates volunteered to acquire food supplies from the prison commissary. Beyond acquiring the provisions, the collective dedicated two days to preparation prior to delivering the meals to every residential block.

Given the holiday period, the correctional facility faced a deficit of personnel. Instead of the usual brief “grab-and-go service,” the prisoners sought to foster a more intimate and collective atmosphere among themselves.
“We prepared the food and distributed it throughout all the structures,” inmate B.I., identified as a former gang leader, elaborated to Us. “Sufficient portions for approximately 200 individuals per building. The entire preparation process spanned two days.”
The inmates were compelled to innovate, lacking access to standard kitchen essentials such as ovens, microwave ovens, and cutting implements.
“We are required to boil water for all cooking,” B.I. stated, further noting that they resorted to using their “ID cards” to mince ingredients. “The resident ‘culinary experts’ manage to make it taste as if a grandmother prepared it.”
Considering numerous inmates are distant from their residences or lack familial connections, B.I. and his peers aimed to provide them with a reason for commemoration.
“Many individuals here possess nothing,” B.I. remarked. “Some are without kin. People housed here originate from places like Texas, California — quite a distance. This initiative served as our method of contributing.”
Diddy reiterated comparable feelings, clarifying that the act imparted “a touch of familiarity in an austere environment,” and appended, “Genuine generosity involves ensuring the well-being of others, even when one possesses limited resources to impart.”
The recording artist observed that individuals beyond the prison walls largely fail to comprehend the way incarceration fosters camaraderie among prisoners.
“Many misconceptions exist concerning prison life. A powerful sense of fraternity prevails,” he informed Us. “We mutually support one another. It's solely a constructive dynamic.”

Diddy has been incarcerated following his apprehension in September 2024 on accusations of sex trafficking, involvement in a racketeering scheme, and facilitating transport for prostitution. He entered a plea of not guilty to the indictments and repudiated all assertions made against him.
During July, a judicial panel convicted Diddy on two instances of illicit transportation while absolving him of the remaining accusations. Three months thereafter, Judge Arun Subramanian imposed a sentence of 50 months' imprisonment along with five years of monitored freedom and a monetary penalty of $500,000. The 13-month period he served in custody prior to and throughout his legal proceedings will be credited against his term.
According to the Bureau of Prisons official website, Diddy’s scheduled liberation date is June 4, 2028.
