Diddy's Prison Release Date Shifts Amidst Reports of Rule Violations
The anticipated release date from incarceration for Sean “Diddy” Combs has been pushed back.
Although Diddy was originally scheduled for liberation on May 8, 2028, his new eligibility date is June 4, 2028, according to information from the Bureau of Prisons website. Page Six initially broke this story on Wednesday, November 11.
Even though the reason for Diddy’s delayed release remains unconfirmed, he recently faced accusations of violating several regulations, such as consuming alcoholic beverages and engaging in a conference call.
Nevertheless, a representative for Diddy refuted these claims.

“The assertions that Mr. Combs was found with alcohol are entirely untrue,” stated a message posted on social media on Friday, November 7. “His sole priority is to better himself and reunite with his loved ones.”
Another representative for Diddy, a parent to seven children, informed People in a distinct announcement that the embattled music magnate has “not infringed upon any correctional facility regulations.”
“Maintaining his sobriety and self-control are paramount, and he is committed to them,” the spokesperson noted. “This marks just his initial week at FCI Fort Dix, and sadly, speculative reports will emerge during his stay. We urge the public and media to extend him the presumption of innocence, allow him the solitude to concentrate on his personal advancement, and afford him the courtesy to proceed peacefully.”
Diddy is presently held at the Fort Dix Federal Correctional Institute in New Jersey, having been moved there last month after his October 3 conviction. He was found guilty of two charges related to transporting individuals for prostitution and received a four-year imprisonment term. (The thirteen months he spent at Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center prior to his relocation to Fort Dix will be credited against this term.)

Furthermore, Diddy incurred a $500,000 fine and was mandated to undergo five years of supervised probation once his custodial period concludes.
“Both the sentencing guidelines computation and the punishment considered actions for which Mr. Combs was found not guilty by a jury,” Diddy’s lawyer Marc Agnifilo asserted to The New York Post last month. “We maintain that this constitutes a judicial mistake.”
Diddy was apprehended in September 2024 on charges of sex trafficking, involvement in a racketeering conspiracy, and transport for prostitution. He strongly refuted these claims and was ultimately cleared of the racketeering and trafficking accusations.
“We express our dissatisfaction with the choice by the U.S. Attorney’s Office to proceed with what we perceive as an unfair prosecution of Mr. Combs,” Agnifilo communicated to Us Weekly in a declaration following the rapper’s apprehension. “Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs stands as a musical legend, a self-made business magnate, a devoted father, and a recognized charitable giver who has dedicated three decades to establishing a vast enterprise, cherishing his offspring, and contributing to the advancement of the Black community.”

He further elaborated then, “He is not without flaws, yet he is not a lawbreaker. To his merit, Mr. Combs has shown complete cooperation throughout this inquiry and willingly moved to New York last week expecting these charges. We urge you to withhold judgment until all information is available. These actions reflect an individual with nothing to conceal, and he anticipates vindicating himself in a legal setting.”
