Diggs Responds to Paternity Claim Amidst Cardi B Pregnancy News
Reports from Us Weekly indicate that Stefon Diggs, partner of music sensation Cardi B, has formally responded to legal proceedings alleging he is the biological father of a five-month-old daughter.
The New England Patriots athlete submitted his reply on July 17 concerning a paternity and financial support claim lodged by Aileen Lopera with the Los Angeles Superior Court.
Ms. Lopera welcomed her daughter, named Charliee Harper Diggs-Lopera, on April 2. Diggs, aged 31, has stated he is unsure of his paternity.
The accomplished wide receiver has formally requested “genetic testing to ascertain” his biological link. Should the DNA results confirm his fatherhood, Diggs seeks to be granted joint legal and physical guardianship of the child.
In December 2024, Ms. Lopera submitted court documents asserting her pregnancy with Diggs' offspring. Her filing alleged that their intimate relations in California resulted in the birth of their child, and she requested that the NFL personality be legally recognized as the father.
The petition sought exclusive legal and physical custody of the child for Ms. Lopera, suggesting that Diggs be granted visitation rights. Additionally, the court filing requested that Diggs be mandated to provide child support, reimburse her for pregnancy-related costs, and cover legal expenditures.
