Digital World Mourns Loss of Influencers and Content Creators in 2025
The digital realm is paying tribute to a number of social media personalities who passed away throughout 2025.
On the first day of April, nursing content creator Hailey Okula, aged 33, passed away following the birth of her inaugural child. Her husband, Matthew Okula, disclosed that an amniotic fluid embolism caused his wife's demise, adding that she had a short moment with their newborn before she died.
In May, the Chandler, Arizona, Police Department verified to Us Weekly that the three-year-old son of content creator Emilie Kiser, Trigg Kiser, tragically passed away after being found unresponsive in the family's swimming pool.
On July 23, Camila Trevisol, a 22-year-old Rodeo Queen personality, succumbed to a rare variant of bone cancer. Additionally, Filipino TikTok sensation Emman Atienza passed away in October at the age of 19. The following month, the passing of globetrotting influencer Anunay Sood was communicated by his “family and friends.”
Culinary enthusiasts also grieved the loss of gastronomic influencer Michael Duarte — recognized online as @FoodWithBearHands — in November.
