Edwin Arroyave Moves On From Teddi Mellencamp With New Serious Romance
Edwin Arroyave is re-entering the dating scene following his split from Teddi Mellencamp.
“Yes, I am seeing someone,” Arroyave, 48, revealed on the iHeartRadio “The Ed’s” podcast episode aired on Tuesday, October 14. “Things are quite serious.”
Although Arroyave kept specifics about the new woman in his life under wraps, guest Joe Gorga quipped that he ought to bring his companion to Las Vegas for a comedy night when he takes the stage at Jimmy Kimmel’s Comedy Club during BravoCon in November.
“You’ll have a front-row seat for my performance,” Gorga, 51, stated.
'RHOBH' Alum Teddi Mellencamp and Edwin Arroyave's Relationship History“Alright, front row, you’ve convinced me. That’s definitely something I’d enjoy, a front-row seat,” Arroyave quipped with a chuckle. “Perhaps I will bring her to Vegas. It had actually crossed my mind.”
Mellencamp, 44, initiated divorce proceedings against Arroyave in November 2024, concluding their 13-year marriage. The ex-Real Housewives of Beverly Hills personality attributed their separation to irreconcilable differences.
The estranged pair still jointly raise their three shared children: Slate, 13, Cruz, 11, and Dove, 5. Additionally, Arroyave is father to Bella, 15, from a prior relationship.
Arroyave’s dynamic with his soon-to-be ex-wife shifted significantly when she disclosed in February her fight against stage IV melanoma, which had spread to her lungs and brain.
Following her treatment, Mellencamp announced on the October 3 installment of iHeartRadio’s “Two Ts in a Pod” podcast that recent scans indicated no discernible cancer. Nevertheless, she plans to continue immunotherapy for the foreseeable future.
“This year has been tumultuous for us,” Arroyave commented on his recent podcast alongside cohost Eddie Judge. “The separation happened initially. Then, roughly five months later, we discovered the cancer diagnosis. Once the cancer appeared, we paused [our divorce proceedings] to address that situation. Her well-being is the top priority.”
Arroyave stated that he continues to reside with Mellencamp “90 percent of the time,” in part to ensure “she and the children are looked after. Afterwards, I return to my separate residence at night.”
“We’re navigating these challenges,” he further remarked. “However, we received some wonderful news just last week.”
Mellencamp has appreciated the support, and she has also begun dating since initiating her divorce proceedings.
Joe Gorga Verifies Sister Teresa Giudice ‘Contacted Him’ Regarding a Potential ReconciliationDuring an Us Weekly cover feature published last April, the reality personality expressed gratitude to her separated husband for his unwavering assistance throughout a difficult period in her life.
“I feel incredibly fortunate that Edwin, from whom I was divorcing, agreed to suspend everything. It wasn't the right moment to squabble over emails,” she explained. “He has been exceptionally considerate and helpful with the children, which has simplified matters considerably.”
Mellencamp added, “He has supported me completely, he has supported the kids, and we are once again sharing laughter. We refer to it as the ‘Divorce Chronicles.’ And I intend to discuss with him the types of women he plans to marry … because if these individuals are going to look after my children, I have preferences for what I desire, and what I absolutely do not.”
