Emilie Kiser Opens Up About Devastating 2025 and Healing Journey
“The past year has been utterly devastating. There’s really no other way to put it,” Kiser, 26, shared via TikTok on Thursday, January 1, appearing quite upset. “I’m struggling to find the words to describe 2025, which is partly why I wanted to create this video.”
In her first video of 2026, Kiser told her followers that it’s alright to feel “completely adrift” as a new year begins.
“I can’t even articulate the emptiness I’ve felt over the last seven months,” she said. “Whether it was obvious or not, I’ve really just tried to keep moving forward and be there for my younger son.”

In May 2025, Emilie and her husband, Brady Kiser’s lives were forever altered when their 3-year-old son, Trigg, died after being discovered unconscious in the family’s Arizona swimming pool. The couple are also parents to Theodore, who was born in March 2025.
Authorities submitted a recommendation for criminal charges against Trigg’s father, who was present at the home when the incident occurred. The Maricopa County Attorney’s Office later declined to file charges, stating there was “no reasonable chance of a conviction.”
Brady’s attorney expressed gratitude to investigators in July for their thorough work and reiterated that the case was “a heartbreaking accident.”
While many influencers began 2026 by sharing their highlights from the previous year, Emilie revealed her goal is to continue showing up for friends, family, and followers as she navigates a new phase of her life.
“I’m simply trying, and I’m entering this next year doing my best and striving to be the best version of myself, the best mom I can be, the best wife I can be, the best sibling and friend I can be,” she said. “In 2026, I genuinely hope that I can rediscover myself a little bit, deepen my connections with the people around me, continue to prioritize my mental health, focus on what truly matters, and remember that I can only control what’s within my power.”

“I truly have no words and I could go on and on and on about how supportive my audience is and how grateful I am for you guys,” she said while expressing her gratitude. “Truly, this year has put life in general and so many things into perspective.”
Emilie continued, “One of the most significant lessons I’ve taken from 2025 and the loss of my son Trigg to a preventable accident is that life is incredibly delicate. … Life is fragile and family is incredibly important.”
