Entertainment World Mourns a Year of Unforgettable Losses
The entertainment world bid a somber farewell to several iconic figures throughout 2025.
The initial six months of the year brought unfortunate announcements regarding the passing of David Lynch, Michelle Trachtenberg, George Foreman, Val Kilmer, and Duck Dynasty personality Phil Robertston.
During the warmer months, we grieved the departures of Anne Burrell, Ozzy Osbourne, Hulk Hogan, Malcolm-Jamal Warner, and Brandon Blackstock. September marked the passing of esteemed actor Robert Redford.
October witnessed the loss of celebrated zoologist Jane Goodall, Diane Keaton, Grammy-winning R&B artist D’Angelo, among others. The subsequent month, Dallas Cowboys defensive end Marshawn Kneeland passed at 24 years old, and Oscar-nominated actress Pauline Collins died at 85 after contending with Parkinson’s.
November commenced with the passing of actress Sally Kirkland and former ABC News correspondent Jim Avila, while musician Gary “Mani” Mounfield and Prince’s collaborator Jellybean Johnson also left us.
