Erika Frantzve: From Miss Arizona to Legacy in the Wake of Tragedy
Erika Frantzve gained significant public attention following her 2021 marriage to the conservative political commentator Charlie Kirk — and that public gaze has intensified even more after his unexpected passing.
Kirk, the contentious right-wing political analyst and creator of Turning Point USA, was fatally shot on Wednesday, September 10, during an address at Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah. Despite being transported to the hospital, he succumbed to his wounds. Kirk had reached the age of 31.
“It’s with a heavy heart that we, the Turning Point USA leadership team, write to notify you that early this afternoon, Charlie went to his eternal reward with Jesus Christ in Heaven,” Turning Point USA released in a public statement then.
As Kirk's prominence expanded, establishing him as a highly influential figure in conservative media — notably through his podcast, "The Charlie Kirk Show" — his spouse consistently backed his professional endeavors and their mutual evangelical Christian beliefs.

“Life, weirdly enough, is a countdown … you don’t get forever,” Frantzve posted on Instagram in August, showcasing pictures of her existence with her departed husband and their offspring. “My favorite photos lately have been seeing the beginnings of a kiss with my husband. The before. The in-between. The after. This … everything in these photos are the fleeting fullness we prayed for.”

Erika Previously Held the Title of Miss Arizona USA
During her time at Arizona State University, Frantzve, a native of Scottsdale, earned the crown as Miss Arizona USA in 2012. She initially participated as Miss Phoenix prior to advancing to represent Arizona in the Miss USA competition.
Her official website states that Frantzve felt “honored” by securing the Miss Arizona USA title, an achievement that “highlighted her poise, dedication, and inner strength.”
Her Marriage to Charlie Occurred in 2021
Frantzve first encountered Kirk in September 2018 and recognized their destined connection by the close of that evening.
“5 years ago today, we sat inside Bills Burgers in NYC deep in conversation and banter over theology, philosophy, and politics and at the end, you paused, looked at me and said, ‘I'm going to date you,’” Frantzve recounted on Instagram in September 2023. “Dating with intention to marry is way different than dating to ‘see where it goes.’ Let God write your love story.”
The couple became engaged in December 2020 and exchanged vows in May 2021 within her native city of Scottsdale.
“A year ago, we stood at that altar making the most precious covenant with God as we became one flesh. A deep transformation and unification that I’ll never be able to put into words,” she posted on Instagram in May 2022. “A year of adventure. Of laughter. Of endless memories. God knew all along, it was you. Charles James you are my today and all of my tomorrow’s. How blessed I am to have you as my husband and how honored I am to be your wife. May our marriage continue to glorify God. I love you endlessly.”

Erika Possesses Several Academic Qualifications
Frantzve participated in basketball at Regis University prior to her transfer to Arizona State University. She completed her studies in 2012, earning a degree in political science and international relations. Subsequently, Frantzve obtained her Juris Master Degree in American/U.S. law/legal studies/jurisprudence from Liberty University, as indicated by her LinkedIn profile. She then achieved a Doctor of Education from the same university in 2022.
“This one’s for you. For the loved ones and dear friends in my life that supported me throughout the past two years as I kept my head buried in law school books. Who understood when I said, ‘I’m sorry, I can’t, I have a test due before midnight,’” Frantzve shared on Instagram in May 2019 upon the completion of her master's. “‘To the one’s that sent me insane amounts of encouragement & prayer as I silently pursued this degree and made my own career sacrifices (like turning down being a cast member for @bravotv Summer House & other various TV show opportunities).’”
She further stated: “This weekend has your names written all over it, as I walked across stage, heart swollen with gratitude, receiving my JM from Liberty University School of Law with honors. How blessed I feel to be able to call this incredible school my alma mater.”⠀
She Has Two Children With Charlie
Frantzve welcomed her and Kirk’s initial child, a daughter, in August 2022 — deliberately withholding her name and image from public social media platforms. The couple then grew their family in May 2024 with the arrival of their son.
“Happy Mother’s Day Erika. There is no greater mother, wife, or friend than you. God’s greatest blessing to us!” Kirk posted in an Instagram tribute during May.
She Possesses a Faith-Focused Apparel Brand
The parent of two is also an entrepreneur, having established Proclaim Streetwear in December 2018. This apparel label is religiously inspired and "purpose-driven for the Kingdom," as declared on its official Instagram profile.
Frantzve furthermore serves as the host for the “Midweek Rise Up” podcast, a leader within Biblein365, and a recognized public speaker.
