Erika Jayne Opens Up About Her Pleasant Life and New Romance with John McPhee

Erika Jayne is candidly discussing her personal relationship with John “Shrek” McPhee.

“My life is genuinely pleasant,” the 54-year-old Jayne disclosed during the Sunday, October 12, installment of iHeartRadio’s “Diamonds in the Rough” podcast. “I visited Panama last week, where I underwent stem cell therapy at the remarkable Origins clinic, which is performing extraordinary work there. It was arguably among the most exceptional journeys I’ve experienced in my lifetime. John and I traveled together.”

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills personality confided in cohost Teddi Mellencamp that she enjoyed a “truly pleasant getaway” alongside her partner. Indeed, this holiday was also filled with numerous romantic instances.

“Enjoying dates, dinners, holding hands, and strolling through Panama’s historic district, it was utterly charming,” Jayne elaborated. “I could simply exist and somewhat clear my thoughts, finding true contentment there.”

This excursion, far removed from Beverly Hills, prompted Jayne to ponder questions about her life’s trajectory and future possibilities.

“Am I maximizing my efforts in this environment? I’m uncertain. I believe the subsequent phase of my life remains completely undetermined,” she clarified. “I simply have no idea what lies ahead. And sometimes, that’s acceptable. … My desire is for internal tranquility. I seek serenity following these past five years.”

In July, Jayne was captured in photographs hand-in-hand with McPhee. The couple has not yet made a public red carpet appearance or confirmed their relationship on Instagram.

Jayne, who parted ways with her estranged spouse Tom Girardi in 2020, had earlier shared that her introduction to McPhee was facilitated by fellow reality television personality Heidi Montag.

“I encountered him backstage with Heidi in London quite by chance,” she had previously disclosed on a July installment of the “Diamonds in the Rough” podcast. “It happened unexpectedly because [Heidi] performed, and I followed her act. I mused, ‘That’s the individual from the podcast. I’m going to approach and greet him.’ I presented myself, saying something like, ‘Hello, my name is Erika, and I’ve seen you featured on several podcasts. I’m an admirer.’”

Progressing to the present, the duo is not merely sharing holidays. They are also jointly raising a three-year-old canine companion named Rick.

“We own this magnificent Belgian Malinois. He is a well-trained dog. He is presently residing at my residence,” Jayne announced on her most recent podcast. “Consider my life — culinary pursuits, canine care, and getaways. Who have I become? I am experiencing a conventional existence.”

When Mellencamp, 44, inquired about her cohost’s choice of the pronoun “we,” Jayne emphasized her active involvement in caring for the dog.

“It’s in my yard, taking a dip in my pool, and we’re exercising it throughout my darn neighborhood,” she quipped. “I consented to share parental duties for this dog. I am content with this arrangement. I adore it. My only wish is for more vitality. I am utterly exhausted.”

Prior to the podcast’s conclusion, Mellencamp posed one last query to her friend: When would she have the opportunity to meet the new individual?

“You will find him agreeable,” Jayne responded. “He possesses a very gentle disposition. He is a remarkably kind man. It’s quite good.”
