Ex-Influencer's Viral Comment Sparks Lawsuit From Ex-Husband
Haley Kalil and her former husband, Matt Kalil, had maintained a friendly relationship after their 2022 divorce, but a recent viral comment made by the influencer may have created a rift between them.
In November 2025, Haley stated during a livestream that the size of Matt’s penis was the “biggest factor” in their separation. The TikToker’s admission quickly spread across social media at the time, prompting Haley to release a follow-up statement.
“I deeply value respecting his privacy and the integrity of what we shared. During our livestream, we discussed so much more than what’s being highlighted — the love in our marriage, the growth we experienced, the depth of our connection,” she told TMZ Sports shortly after the livestream. “It’s unfortunate that only one portion is being emphasized because it doesn’t reflect the complete story of how meaningful things were to me. I hope the hour-and-a-half-long conversation demonstrates more than just a catchy soundbite.”
Despite her clarification, Matt subsequently filed a lawsuit against his ex-wife in January 2026, alleging that she provided “intrusive commentary” and brought “unwanted attention” to him with her livestream remarks.

When Did Haley Kalil and Matt Kalil Get Divorced?
Haley married Matt in Hawaii in July 2015, when she was approximately 21 years old. The marriage continued until May 2022, when the former Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model initiated divorce proceedings from the former Minnesota Vikings player, citing “irreconcilable differences,” TMZ reported at the time.
Haley, who initially gained viral attention on TikTok with an apartment tour video shortly after the divorce, has repeatedly told her fans that she and Matt ended their relationship amicably. The internet personality discussed her marriage and subsequent split from Matt in a January 2024 YouTube video, preceding her comments by stating that her ex “really values his privacy” and she wants to “honor that.”
“So please, everyone, be kind,” she continued. “If you don’t know, I grew up in a smaller town in Minnesota and I spent nearly my entire life there. I met my ex when I was 20 at a local Minnesota restaurant while we were with friends, and literally six months from that date, we were married, which looking back is unbelievable because we were only 21 and that is incredibly young to get married. But in Minnesota, many people marry young, so it also felt quite normal because my ex and I were so young.”
Haley added that she and Matt had “absolutely no understanding of what being married was like, what being in love was like, or what both of us needed from a marriage.”
“Even though we were best friends, marriage was challenging and eventually, after years, we decided to just remain friends, so we ended up getting a divorce and thankfully, because we were friends, the divorce was quite straightforward. There wasn’t any conflict, there wasn’t any arguing even while we were going through the divorce. We continued to spend time together as friends because at the end of the day, we are friends.”
Haley said the marriage taught both of them “so much about what we need in a marriage and what love truly means to us.”
“We are both so happy and we’re still friends because if you care about someone and love them, you’ll be able to navigate almost any situation, yes, even divorce, and now I understand why it’s so important to surround yourself with good people because when you genuinely care about someone and they genuinely care about you, you have each other’s best interests at heart,” she added.
Matt has since moved on with model Keilani Asmus. The couple exchanged vows in April 2024 and welcomed one son. As for Haley, it’s unclear if she is currently in a relationship. She most recently dated model Kyle Vieira, but she confirmed their separation in August 2025.
Haley Kalil Comments on the Size of Matt Kalil’s Penis During Livestream
In November 2025, Haley claimed during a Twitch livestream that the size of Matt’s manhood caused difficulties in their relationship.
“This occurred throughout our entire marriage,” she said. “I tried everything — therapists, doctors [and I] researched lipo-type procedures, you know what I mean? That’s why it’s kind of comical. It’s like my life is a comedy, and it practically writes itself.”
Haley added, “It was, like, he’s in the top .01 percent of the population. We attempted everything [and it was] impossible unless you’re going to be upset.”
Matt Kalil Sues Haley Kalil for Invasion of Privacy
Although Matt initially remained silent regarding his ex’s viral livestream soundbite, he later filed a lawsuit against Haley on Tuesday, January 6.
Matt alleged in his filing that Haley’s words “suggested that the size of [Matt’s] genitalia was a primary factor in the parties’ divorce and claimed that sexual intercourse … would leave her ‘in tears,’" according to court documents obtained by Us Weekly. Consequently, he has allegedly been compelled to “endure the ongoing public circulation of these degrading and deeply personal statements.”
Matt also claimed that Haley was able to “financially benefit from this surge in attention.” He sought to receive damages “on all claims asserted in the complaint,” with the total amount “exceeding $75,000,” per the outlet.
Haley responded to the lawsuit in a statement to Us.
“I am genuinely shocked and incredibly hurt upon receiving the news of this filing. Litigation is a distressing and emotionally draining experience, and I am heartbroken that he is choosing to subject us and our families to this ordeal,” the statement read, adding that Haley also complimented Matt several times during the livestream, including a moment where she called him the “greatest guy in the world.”
“The truth is in the original livestream. I speak highly of him in numerous ways throughout that conversation,” she concluded.
Haley Kalil Plans Move to Dismiss Matt Kalil’s Lawsuit
Haley’s attorney Matthew Bialick said the influencer plans to file a motion to dismiss Matt’s lawsuit in a statement to People on January 7, 2026, stating the “case is legally without merit.”
“The claims seek to dramatically expand existing law and establish damaging new precedent by imposing liability on a woman for merely speaking openly and truthfully about a prior relationship,” Bialick told the outlet. “That raises serious First Amendment concerns, especially in a case involving two public figures.”
Matt’s attorney Ryan Saba argued in a statement to Us that Haley “disclosed private and intimate details about Matt Kalil that were of no legitimate public concern and subjected Matt Kalil and his family to widespread ridicule and unwanted attention.”
“[Haley] Kalil shared these sensitive personal details about her ex-husband in an apparent quest to seek fortune and fame,” the statement continued. “Her actions were extreme, outrageous, beyond all possible bounds of decency, and have caused substantial harm to Matt Kalil, his family and his business.”
In a separate statement to Us, Haley’s lawyer added, “The lawsuit alleges that Ms. Kalil claimed that sexual intercourse with Mr. Kalil would leave her ‘in tears.’ Allowing this allegation to form the basis of a legal claim would mean that a woman could be sued merely for truthfully describing physical pain during sex, which is not consistent with the First Amendment.”
