Federline's New Book Alleges Britney Spears Wished Death Upon Sons And Ex-Husband
Kevin Federline recalls a particularly upsetting phone conversation Britney Spears supposedly had with their son Sean Preston sometime in the last two years.
“In that call, she fell into her familiar pattern, holding me, her father, and other relatives accountable for her difficulties,” Federline, 47, revealed in his forthcoming book, You Thought You Knew. “Preston, commendably, challenged her. He exposed her falsehoods and rejected her version of events. Her reply was shocking: She declared she hoped he, his brother, and I were all deceased.”
Upon hearing Preston, 20, describe the exchange, Federline stated he felt “crushed.”
“How could a mother utter such words to her child? Preston, accustomed to her harshness over the years, handled it with more composure than I did,” Federline penned. “He grasped her fury and unpredictability, yet it didn't diminish the hurt. Such profound trauma left marks, ones I worry they will bear indefinitely.”

“As excerpts from Kevin’s book emerge, he and others are again leveraging her for financial gain, disturbingly, after his child support payments have concluded,” Spears’ representative told Us in a press release on Tuesday, October 14. “Her sole concern remains her children, Sean Preston and Jayden James, and their welfare amidst this media frenzy.”
Spears’ representative further noted that the pop icon “chronicled her personal story in her own memoir,” The Woman in Me, which saw its release in 2023.
Spears, 43, also took to social media to address her followers, stating that “interactions with adolescent sons [are] intricate.”
“The persistent manipulation by [my] former husband is profoundly damaging and draining. I have continually implored and vocalized my desire for a life with my sons,” she posted on X on Wednesday, October 15. “I have felt dejected by this predicament and have consistently requested, almost pleaded, for their inclusion in my life.”
Spears asserted that she has spent only 45 minutes with one of her sons over the last five years. The other son, she stated, had purportedly visited the singer four times during that period.
“Believe me, those fabrications in that publication are purely for financial gain, and I am the sole person truly suffering here,” Spears continued. “My love for them is unwavering, and if you truly understand me, you will disregard the sensationalized reports about my mental state and alcohol consumption. I am, in fact, a quite intelligent woman who has sought to lead a cherished and secluded life for the past five years. I address this now because I have reached my limit, and any self-respecting woman would react similarly.”
