Final 'Poker Face' Photo Shows James Ransone and Natasha Lyonne Together

James Ransone appeared in a selfie with Natasha Lyonne several months prior to his passing.

In the image, Lyonne, 46, was smiling broadly as Ransone made a puzzled expression for the camera while seemingly on the set of Poker Face. Lyonne initially shared the picture via Instagram on June 16, reposting MovieMaker Magazine’s upload.

“Repost from @moviemakermag,” the caption read. “We spoke with Natasha Lyonne and @riancjohnson about creating POKER FACE on @peacock, a show for all audiences. And showrunner @tonytost discusses how Season 2 continues a tradition of spotlighting everyday Americans (and our occasional deceptions). Ransone played Juice in Poker Face season 2 episode 7, which marked his final television role before his death. The episode was released on June 5.

James Ransone's Wife Jamie McPhee Addresses His Death at 46

Ransone died by suicide on Friday, December 19, according to records from the County of Los Angeles Medical Examiner, which were reviewed by Us Weekly. He was 46.

His wife, Jamie McPhee, publicly responded to Ransone’s death in an Instagram post on Sunday, December 21. The couple, who married in 2017, were parents to son Jack, 6, and daughter Violet, 4.

“I’ve told you I have loved you countless times before and I know I will love you again,” she wrote, sharing a photograph of herself and Ransone. “You told me – I need to be more like you and you need to be more like me – and you were completely correct. Thank you for giving me the greatest gifts – you, Jack and Violet. We are eternally connected.”

Lyonne commented on the post, “Love you with all that I have and holding our cherished brilliant peejo with grace, gratitude, and cosmic peace into this life and the next – family forever ♾️ beautiful jamie you are the best of us we love you.” (Ransone had the nickname “PJ.”)

James Ransone's Wife Jamie McPhee Provides Update on Their Children

McPhee has since shared an update on how the family is coping following Ransone’s death, uploading a photo on Tuesday, December 23, of the couple’s children enjoying ice cream cones.

“PJ, the outpouring of affection for you is truly beyond anything you could ever have imagined,” she wrote, in part. “But more importantly, this [unimaginable] loss has also provided an incredible gift for so many. I’ve been told numerous stories. And there are likely a hundred thousand more I still haven’t heard of people reconnecting. Of friendships mending after years of silence. Of truths finally being revealed. Of old pain being brought into the light and somehow… lessening. Sometimes almost immediately. I know this is genuine because I’ve experienced it myself in these past few days.”

McPhee concluded, “In the weeks before you departed us, after months of telling me nearly every regret you’d ever carried: every mistake, every error, every hurtful thing you thought you’d written or said, you burst into tears and said: ‘Babe, you know the most upsetting thing of all?’
‘I actually love everyone.’ Well babe, it turns out that despite everything, everyone actually loves you too.”
